Customers say: Terrific value

"I desperately needed shrubbery trimmed and was referred to Brandon Wiley. He was prompt, honest and reasonable. He performed with a level of professionalism and a sense of customer service which is uncommon amongst his peers. He performed his task enthusiastically, cleaned and removed debris, AND I will definitely call on him for future lawn care services. I heartily recommend him to all!!!"

"Chad did an excellent job getting my yard looking top-notch! He also expanded my driveway and moved my sprinklers to be perfectly on the grass with no waist on the sidewalks or driveway! He is also a great guy! And get the work done right! Give him a call. He won’t be disappointed in his work!"

Small jobs welcome

"Matt gave me an estimate to complete a backyard cleanup of overgrown palm trees, weeds, brush, and lots of raking. Matt was professional, but he underbid the job and took on a job that was too big for him to complete. He did not have all the necessary equipment (ax, heavy-duty trimmer, edger) to complete the job as requested. The area around the pool area looked great, but the vines were left in the ground because they were too thick for him to cut. He left the old planters where they were and could not cut the bushes to the low level requested. There 2 other areas that were supposed to be cleared out, the first area he left the bushes in place when he was asked to remove them. Matt was unable to clear the 2nd area due to not having the tools to cut the small trees down. Matt is a hard worker and does do a good job cleaning up overgrown areas, however, he needs some more experience in this area."

"I had a large area in my front yard that I treated for fungus every year with various degrees of success. I finally decided to take care of it. I called Creative and Dan came over and we discussed ways to deal with it. BTW, Dan is very personable fellow, a joy to converse with. In the end we removed the suspect grass and what was underneath it, filled it with new soil and sodded it with new St. Augustein. The crew did a nice job and I'm glad I went with Creative. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!"

Brush Chipping questions, answered by experts

The legality of blowing leaves into the street depends on your city or county laws. Many cities have codes that restrict blowing leaves into the street because it can obstruct the view of nearby drivers and make cars dirty, not to mention angering neighbors. Violations can result in a fine or other problems. You can check the codes on your municipal government website to learn more local guidelines, but avoid spraying leaves into streets for now.

Yes, you can put tree branches in a dumpster. In most places, tree branches, brush, logs, and other wood are considered yard waste, which is allowed in most dumpsters. Check with your local municipal authority to determine whether there are any rules about yard waste disposal and how much yard waste you can place in a single dumpster.

Many tools are effective in helping you remove hedges. While heavy machinery is likely the best option for making quick work of hedge removal, your trusty hand spade shovel is probably the next best. Use a spade shovel to dig around the hedge and break roots as you go with the tool. Your spade is also useful for getting deep underneath the root ball, so you can insert a pry bar to help lift the plant.

While you don’t need to put anything down before mulch, you can apply a pre-emergent herbicide to prevent weed growth. As long as you remove weeds before you spread mulch, you should be in the clear. But a herbicide is something that you can put down before mulch as an extra layer of protection.

Trimming a rose bush is similar to cutting back your shrubs or other bushes.

First, you’ll start by removing old, damaged, or diseased branches from the base. Next, thin out the plant's interior by removing thin, weak branches. Finally, you’ll want to cut off buds where the leaves meet the stem.

Trim away using a 45-degree angle, as this will help with water runoff and promote new growth outward.
