As Florida’s most recognized name in window installation, FHA has built its reputation on hard work, top notch craftsmanship and superior customer service. The benefits of new window installation are endless, with safety being at the forefront. Living in Florida, we deal with plenty of hazardous weather conditions with hurricanes topping the list. Protecting your home and keep your family safe against hurricanes with new hurricane windows will not only give you peace of mind, but there are also tax, insurance and energy savings to take into consideration.

"Horrible communication and workmanship."

We manufacture, sell and install top of the line, quality PVC vinyl, replacement windows and doors. The company owns its own window and door factory and our quality control and attention to detail are second to none. We want to make sure that every customer gets the highest possible return on their investment and with our energy savings guarantee; we put our money where our mouth is to achieve this goal. All of our products meet Florida wind load codes and we are one of the few manufacturers that offers approved Miami Dade County high impact hurricane windows. We offer a full line of styles that includes double hungs, single hungs, two-lite sliders, three-lite sliders, pictures, casements, awnings, patio doors and French doors. We also offer a variety of colors and grid options. The factory also sells to other window and door dealers around the country and has been doing so to Florida dealers since 1998. Our guarantees and warranties are the very best in the industry and all of them are transferable, lifetime and non-pro rated. All products that we manufacture, sell and install are top of the line, but because we own the factory and there is no middleman, we can provide our products and services at affordable prices. We strive to be the Jacksonville area’s leading supplier of windows and doors while maintaining the highest level standard for quality and customer service. We thank all of our satisfied customers who have helped us become the first choice in replacement windows and doors in the Jacksonville area.

Family owned and operated. Additional service area - Caroline, Culpeper, Fauquier, Goochland, King George, Orange, Spotsylvania, Stafford, & Westmoreland Counties and surrounding areas.

"We asked for Bolts to be installed, he instead installed straps. (He said that's the standard, our builder recommended bolts, thus we asked for bolts to be placed on top of the wall.) We also asked for two doors in a corner, he only put in one door. (He stated it didn't make sense to have two doors, next to each other. My wife wanted two doors, enough said.) Some of the poured concrete was not mixed well, thus there's some flaws in the walls. Overall, at least they came and did the job."

We manufacture Advanced Energy Panels (AEPs). AEPs are a retrofit for historic windows or any window people can't afford or don’t wish to replace. AEPs are interior window insulating panels and can be installed in any building –office, home or industrial. AEPs have a higher insulation and air sealing rating and provide greater comfort than most replacement windows, yet they are a fraction of the cost. AEPs are custom made to fit over existing openings, protecting, preserving and improving your existing windows.

Egress Windows questions, answered by experts

Finding a reputable contractor for any type of work on your home is best done by conducting research into local professionals. Here are some tips for finding a good contractor:

  • Search for local egress window installation contractors near you

  • Read customer reviews

  • Check out the contractor’s website

  • Look at the portfolio of work completed

  • Call and ask about the contractor’s experience installing egress windows

  • Check to see if the contractor is licensed

When planning egress window installation, costs can vary due to factors like window type, materials, labor, permits, and structural engineer consultations. The average price typically falls between $2,500 to $5,300 or more, depending on location. Considering these aspects is crucial to budget for the project and ensure compliance with local regulations. Obtaining multiple quotes and professional guidance is recommended to comprehensively understand expenses related to egress window installation in your area.

There are more than five window types, but five of the most popular types include casement windows, sliding windows, double-hung windows, picture windows, and awning windows. Each style offers something different. Some are great for ventilation, others for letting in light, and some can do a bit of both. For kitchens, specifically, it helps to think about how often you’ll open the window, how easy it is to clean, and whether it fits well in the space you have.

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.

You install a window well 8 to 12 inches deeper than the base of the window sill. After filling the well with drainage rock, the well should sit 3 inches below the bottom of the window. The top of the window well should also be at least 3 inches higher than the surface-grade ground. The window well should be about 6 inches wider than the window opening.
