"We have been clients of Cowan’s Masonry for the last five years. We moved into a house that had a chimney that was in need of repair. It had a horrible down draft, leaked, and several of the bricks were broken. Mr. Cowan had some great ideas on how to cost effectively repair the chimney and fix the damper, and in a couple of days, had it in great shape (looks a lot nicer too). We use it every winter and now only need the yearly cleaning which Cowan’s provides as well. "Pat and his team were, by and large, fantastic. They executed on all aspects of the original quote flawlessly. The ribbon pointing around the stonework, especially in the front part of the house, turned out very nice. We're extremely happy with how the masonry looks. It went so smoothly, we added additional work onto the quote to seal the concrete and touch up paint along the exterior of the house. The painting wasn't as neat or clean as it could have been - it's probably a little step above what I could have done. Mostly importantly, when we encountered a couple of problems along the way, they were responsive and went above and beyond to sort it out. I think they approached the whole project very well, and even worked with us on the price for the add-ons. All-in-all, super solid work from a super solid contractor. Highly recommended."

"They really are not that good because the work they did started to deteriorate quickly after they did it. They came back and resolved the problem but they also did additional work; they really are not the best painters. The price was very reasonable and they also did some exterior painting for me as well. The interior painting was not as professional as I thought it could have been but they were quick to respond to my needs. They were punctual."
