"We can't say enough good things about Jobes. Both Joy and Jobe (owners) are sticklers for detail and laid out all of the beds and positioning of the plantings personally. Their crew was amazing and were just as meticulous about the actual planting as Joy and Jobe. They were all a pleasure to work with and we will be using their services again in future projects."

"Oscar and son and all the workers did an excellent job weeding and mulching several gardens, along with trimming many shrubs. Also, cleared debris from two ground tree stumps, followed by laying new soil refill and seeding, along with placing straw over the seed. Everyone was polite, efficient, and hardworking. We will definitely use them again."

"I am extremely pleased with the work Carlos did for me. He weeded my flower beds, put fresh mulch down in all beds, trimmed a couple of bushes and spread stone. My yard looks beautiful. He was here on time and completed the work in a timely manner, and Is very reasonably priced. He's very pleasant to work with. I will definitely be using him in the future. "We couldnâ  t have been happier. We used Londonâ  s Land Improvements to lay a crush an run pad for our new shed. They were professional, provided great advice, priced fairly and finished the job in the timeframe that was laid out. Most importantly they did a quality job. We plan on using them for a future driveway project."

The cost to reseed or overseed a lawn is about $1,050 on average, ranging from $450 to $1,700, depending on lawn size, seed type, and location. Popular seed types for residential lawns include bahia, fescue, and Bermuda. Keep in mind that it costs $0.10 to $0.20 per square foot to seed or overseed a lawn. Additional cost factors may include:
Fertilization: $80–$400
Soil testing: $700–$2,100
Yard cleanup and leaf removal: $200–$560
Treating weeds: $110–$325
Mowing: $50–$210
On average, the cost of lawn fertilization is $250, ranging from $80 to $400, depending on the size of the lawn, its current condition, additional treatments, number of applications, fertilizer type, and location. Keep in mind that labor, tools, and equipment make up 80% to 90% of the total cost of lawn fertilization. Additional lawn treatment options include:
Lime treatment: $100–$150 per 1,000 square feet
Crabgrass treatment: $30–$80
Grub treatment: $30–$80
Mulching: $150–$400
Dethatching: $265–$295
Landscapers typically charge $25 to $50 per person per hour, which equals around $50 to $100 per hour for a two-person crew. These rates can vary depending on your location, the size of staff needed for the job, and overall job type. For example, a larger crew will be needed for structural additions and hardscaping versus planting flowers.
When it comes to landscapers, licensing laws vary. Landscaping architects are required to be licensed in all 50 states, whereas traditional landscaping contractors are not typically required to hold a certification. You’ll likely be working with a landscaping contractor for most residential projects. If you are redesigning your whole yard or adding in hardscape features, you will work with a landscaping architect at some point during the project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local landscaper guidelines.
As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:
The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check
Required to have applicable state and local licenses
Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review
Paying to advertise their services
Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi
Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.
Landscaping costs around $3,500 but varies widely from $200 to $14,000. Factors that play a part in your final landscaping price tag include:
Location
Yard size
Project size
Materials
Land preparation
Type of landscaping
Considering so many factors, it’s not surprising that the overall costs can differ. A typical landscaping project is flower bed installation, which averages between $800 and $3,000. However, landscape lighting installation is a higher-end project, with a price tag of $2,000 to $6,000.
