"Chris was great. We had major concerns with our tornado damaged chimney and the potential of further water damage due to upcoming rain storm. Chris came on a Sunday and worked all day and fixed the chimney. preventing any potential water damage. We are most grateful for his time, attentiveness, skill and for willingness to work on a Sunday to get the work done. This type of work ethics and approach to customer service is very hard to find if not impossible. We whole heartily recommend All State if you need chimney work done.."

Chimney Sweep questions, answered by experts

Yes, a seller is legally required to disclose any known fire damage when selling a house, including damages that were repaired. That includes damages to structural components and all major systems, as well as water damage, chemical damage, and smoke damage related to the fire. Sellers use a property disclosure statement, which is regulated by each state individually, to disclose fire damage.

Hazard insurance is the part of your overall homeowner's insurance policy that covers the structure of your home and other structures on your property, as well as any personal property within those structures. When a lender requires you to get hazard insurance for your new home purchase, they’re referring to a standard homeowner’s insurance policy.

Short circuits can cause significant damage to electrical appliances, bodily harm, and potentially death to humans. For this reason, they are a serious occurrence. If you’re unable to find and fix a short circuit on your own, you must reach out to a licensed electrician for help.

Repairing a fire-damaged home could cost anywhere from $2,000 to $200,000 or more—it all depends on the extent of the damage and the quality of the materials you use. In most cases, your homeowner’s insurance company will cover the majority of the repairs. If you’re buying a home with fire damage, though, it’s best to get an estimate from a fire damage restoration company to estimate the repairs before closing.

If untreated, smoke damage is definitely toxic. Carbon and tar are two types of toxic chemicals in smoke that can damage your lungs and other parts of your body if you breathe them in for long periods of time. If you still smell smoke after the fire, it’s important that you call your restoration team for support.
