For-U-BuildersFor-U-Builders was responsive to all phone calls and punctual on the scheduled day for window replacement work in a master bedroom. To their credit, they painted and finished the original wooden sills and frames so that there was a seamless, fresh look to the project. Their builders and project manager were professional and considerate, and they cleaned up thoroughly. Upon request they immediately sent the paperwork for the tax credit for energy efficiency associated with window replacement. The overall price was excellent, about half of what Pella Windows wanted to charge me for the 5 windows. The windows themselves are attractive and sturdy; though vinyl, they seem substantial and fit surprisingly well with an older home. I was happy that I could have small casement windows on top of stationery ones. My only regret is that this combination of window from Kensington Windows, the company they used, requires thick sashes that somewhat block the view. The thickness of the sashes was not apparent to me in the original computer rendering. They do work with other window companies, however. I would definitely hire For-U Builders for future projects.- Tracy H.

Woodland Building & Remodeling LLCIt was amazing to watch our house transform from a boring ranch to a beautiful farmhouse. We were amazed at the level of skill the workers had and their attention to detail was amazing. The house was re-configured to allow a hallway from where the only full bath was in the house to the new master suite. The master suite has a barn shaped ceiling vaulted to 16 feet at peak. It is an amazing entrance to a beautifully designed master bedroom. The bathroom has a gorgeous half moon window above the whirlpool tub. The shower connects with clear glass to the tub and includes a seat in the shower. Finally, we added a front porch to the house and is our very favorite part! We love to sit and watch the kids play in the yard or ride their bikes while we take a break and relax.- Lynette R.

RHI LLCI found Brian and Larry to be very conscientious and professional. They have a very high level of esthetics which is very important to me. They gave us suggestions that improved the "look" of our house. Their references came from people who are in the Design Industry (Architects and Interior Designers) as well as people outside the industry. Everyone gave them rave reviews. They are honest and trustworthy. I found their prices reasonable and competitive. The project ran very smoothly. We were not present during the installation. so we received e-mails daily with pictures of the progress and any explanation necessary. We gave them the code to our security system. This way the alarm would not go off from the banging. We never felt worried about it. I would use them again and again. As a matter of fact, we are going to do interior remodeling (kitchen, bath and basement) and they will definitely be the ones we call. Steve and his crew were hired to completely gut and remodel two full bathrooms. For one bathroom, we got rid of an alcove tub and replaced with a tub and walk in shower, so a decent amount of new plumbing was required. We had gotten a few estimates and his came in higher than one contractor’s who we weren’t sure about, and right in line with another shop we were considering. Both of the “higher” estimates were right in line with regional averages for the work we were asking for. In the end, I think we got a total bargain! We’ve been through/overseen other (sometimes large) renovations, with many subcontractors and moving parts, and out of all of them, Steve was the best. He is very laid back but knowledgeable and thoughtful about offering his expertise and opinions to make the project flow better or cost less, and he didn’t mind taking the time to chat to figure things out we hadn’t thought through. He was also just as comfortable when we wanted things a certain way or requested changes. He went the extra mile if needed and his whole crew were the same way. There was no drama whatsoever and lots of little things they did were simply absorbed into the amount already agreed upon. Al, Ron, Ralph, and the rest of the crew were all friendly, skilled and efficient. And with Covid, they masked up and we really appreciated it. Lastly, as a woman who happened to be the point person and decision maker for this project, I can’t tell you how much I appreciated the simple respect for my point of view, experience and opinions. From everybody. This has not always been the case in the past, and I think it’s so worth giving a shout out for. Thanks, Steve and crew! We love our bathrooms, and we hope to have you guys back to take a look at the kitchen when we’re ready.

Marcos and his crew redid my back patio by pitching it away from the house so water would drain . He also added on to the patio using both my pavers and additional ones . He used Belgian blocks as an edge. Most importantly, he fit pieces perfectly around areas which could not use a whole paver. Magnificent job all around.

I could not be happier with my choice. Shawn was professional, friendly, and knowlegable from first contact. He was not the cheapest nor the most expensive estimate I received to complete the work. His quote included more than the cheaper and more expensive estimates I had received. Once hired he began immediately and removed the trees from the house in the first day. It took a little time to complete the job but his concern was the ruin of a lawn in pristine condition. He waited for the ground to dry before starting the portion of the work that required heavy equipment. The lot is also on a very steep downward angle . I feel that he completed the job in a timely manner considering that the weather continued to work against him. Upon finishing he left the property in excellent condition. He removed the 7 foot diameter root ball as well so one would never know the wreck it all had been . The only tell tale sign is where he graded, seeded, and fertilized the portion on the yard where the trees had fallen and gouged the ground.
