Monk's Home ImprovementsIt went extremely well. The new door is beautiful and the workers were pleasant to work with. We needed some work done outside around the door, and the foreman gave us a great suggestion which worked perfectly for us. The banister (for our center hall colonial) was very intricate, and the old stain needed to be hand sanded in several areas and was tedious work. The crew did a wonderful job, and the new stain looks great. The family room and trim needed to be refreshed (this is the room the French door was added to) and it looks like a great job. The painters were very professional, and did a great job, including cleanup. We could not be happier with how things turned out.- Mark S.

Monk's Home ImprovementsI talked with Kurt Becker of Monk's Home Improvements on August 13 about getting painters to refresh the rooms on the first floor of my house as well as the master bath on the second floor. The house is for sale and I was contacting him from out of state as I have already moved. In quick order, he visited the house, sent me an estimate and once I confirmed, he booked a start date of Monday, August 24. The painters used a day to prep and to take wallpaper down in one of the rooms. They painted 4 rooms, two hallways, one bath - including ceilings, doors and trim work and were finished by Friday, August 28. The house looks terrific and we are so grateful to Kurt and Monk for their prompt response and quick completion of the job - and especially for working with me long distance. Flying Colors Roofing and PaintersThis is the third time I have hired Flying Colors ... their work is impeccable. My most recent project involved interior painting although one of my prior projects was for exterior stain and painting. The job could not have gone better. Steve showed up on time to inspect my house and followed up with a clearly written quote. He had a large backlog of work and couldn't start the job for a few weeks which was not a problem for us. He did start the job when promised and was always easy to reach. His painting team (led by Alex) always arrived on time and were extremely careful with every aspect of the job - prep, painting, and clean up. Their attention to detail was incredible - my walls and trim looks like brand new. I don't know of a better painting contractor than Flying Colors.- James F.

Flying Colors Roofing and PaintersSteven and team did an outstanding job turning our home from one with chipped paint from multiple terrible painting jobs and gapping holes from woodpeckers to looking like a brand new home! The team replaced all damaged shingles, removed an old door and added shingles in its place to match the rest of the house, sanded down the old paint (over multiple days) and then painted beautifully. They also took some extra days to remove old wallpaper up our stairs and in our hallways, repaired the drywall and repainted. Every day the team was onsite and ready to work at the time we were told (and usually even early) and the project was wrapped up exactly when we were told, and surpassed all of our expectations. J & S Painting Plus IncJ&S painting painted the entire first floor of our house - almost 2000 square feet. They also put up some new walls and doors before painting. I have nothing but great things to say about J&S. Sheki, the owner, was tremendously prompt and fair. He came for an estimate within 24 hours of first contact. He provided a quote within 1 hour of leaving my house. And his men were ready to begin working the next week. The price was fair. He came to the house every day to make sure things were going smoothly and to make sure that we were happy. A pleasure to deal with. Edgar, Carlos, and Edgar did great work. They paid attention to details, were careful, and made everything look great. They were on time every day and worked efficiently. They were orderly in moving from room to room so that we could keep using as much of the house as possible during the work, they left everything spotless, and they took great care with all of our possessions. J & S Painting Plus IncSuperb. Highly recommend working with Jay and his team. They are professional, detail oriented, efficient and straightforward. I'll definitely be bringing them back for any future painting projects we have. They completed a big project for us well under the estimated timeline and exactly on budget. The project involved removing a ton of wallpaper, removing wall-to-wall mirrors that had been glued to the walls decades ago, painting ~2,500 square feet of interior house, painting our front door, and wallpapering a couple rooms. All in all, it took 6 days, which was faster than I expected (the original quote was for 1.5-2 weeks). We had a couple changes along the way, and Jay and his team were super flexible and accommodating with us. Josue was our crew leader, and we were incredibly impressed by him-- he painted our interior windows meticulously by hand and ensured no detail went unnoticed. I am very happy that I trusted painting my kitchen to Luigi. We just moved into a new house and I wanted to keep oak cabinets , just wanted to give the kitchen rustic distressed look . Clarissa, Luigi’s manager and wife, was very careful about making sure that the sample is right. So she carefully chose the color as well as the pattern. The result is amazing. Luigi took out all the cabinet doors and worked on them in the garage for 4 days. He and his assistant Sergio did such a detailed perfect work that I can proudly say: my kitchen is unique and it’s a piece of art! Thank you, Master Luigi

Unfortunately, Danny and his team were OK and thats being nice. I wrote a review a few months back after i moved into my new home as a new homeowner. The paint is now chipping in all corners of my house, inside and out. The price was decent probably because the paint that was used was cheap. I excused the fact that his workers as himself are not legal, and they kept doors open all day, used my restroom without cleaning the urine around it, cleaned paint brushes in the bathroom sink instead of the slop sink, left garbage everywhere, let paint stay on my wooden floors, and let the animals inside my house, out, without any care or respect. This is a kind warning for anyone who is new to painting because I did NOT know this is the type of work UNPROFESSIONAL people do. I wrote a kind review at first because i felt bad, but for the money I paid, and the results I see after a few short months, I needed to warn the future customers what to expect.
