"In painting the condo all areas were completed to my satisfaction, however there were gaps in communication between Robert and myself. The paint crew seemed rushed which resulted in some areas not being properly masked off and paint spray remained. I found after their cleanup, plastic and tape remained on some surfaces and fixtures. In dealing with this contractor I would suggest getting each room documented regarding the type of work, type of paint, and cleanup. I received the level of service I paid for."

For best results, choose a vinyl or polyester-based wallpaper, as these materials are more durable and water-resistant. Good ventilation is also crucial to reduce humidity from steamy showers. In bathrooms with high moisture and inadequate ventilation, even high-quality peel-and-stick wallpaper is likely to peel over time.

Many peel-and-stick wallpapers aren’t moisture-resistant, so if you install them in high-humidity rooms, mold can grow behind the wallpaper. It’s best to reserve peel-and-stick wallpaper for bedrooms, living rooms, and other rooms with lower humidity levels. Not only does this minimize the risk of mold growth, but it also keeps the wallpaper from bubbling or peeling.

We don’t recommend wallpapering over older paper. That’s because creating layers of glue can invite bubbling or excess moisture on the wall’s surface. You should also prime your wall before applying wallpaper and smooth the wall as much as you can, and another layer of wallpaper complicates this process.
