"Steven was very accommodating and very efficient. He worked his schedule around my hectic life and was very good at getting back to me, showing up when he said he would, and installing my vacuum system. I love the new system and I am very glad I found this company."

"Absolutely perfect in all ways, Rep called within 1 minute of request online, and then came within 90 min of call, this was at 7pm !, and by noon the next day, we had our new central Vac, DONE and DONE, our old central Vac was 13 yrs old and just up and quit , the lady of the house is a bit OCD with vacuuming daily for 2 hours, that old Electrolux central really earned its retirement, We could not be happier with the service we received, Thank you VERY MUCH !!"

"Shawn provides superb quality service. He replaced my bathroom exhaust fan, updated me to GFCI outlets and installed two ceiling fans. He was able to identify several critical wiring problems from a previous owner and repair those at cost. I was very pleased with the timeliness of the service, the cleanliness of the jobsite and his quick response to address minor issues that surfaced after the work."

Central Vacuum Systems questions, answered by experts

No. Only the hose or the attachments are portable in a central vacuum system. A portable vacuum is a standalone model like a stick, canister, or upright. A central vacuum system is defined by a central power unit, which is installed in one place like an AC unit, and the connected network of piping to funnel the suction.

They’ll use more electricity than the average upright vacuum, but not remarkably more. Most power units plug into a standard 120-volt outlet and don’t have significant power demands. You shouldn’t notice an increase in electricity bills. If you have any specific questions about energy costs, ask your installer as you examine purchase decisions. Larger power units will need more electricity for their suction levels.

Regular cleaning, sealing, and inspections help identify problems early and maintain aesthetics.

The best way to clean central vacuum pipes is to use a maintenance sheet to dislodge clogs and wipe the inside of the pipes clean. Alternatively, a professional can clean your central vacuum pipes for you.

If your central vacuum has lost suction, you probably have a clog in the system. You can remove a clog yourself using a portable vacuum cleaner or central vacuum maintenance sheets. Stubborn clogs or damage to the system require a specialized technician to repair.
