"They ran interior piping to a sump pit. They had to break up the floor install the piping. Install a sump pump pit so the water was pumped outside. Then recement the trench. This is the second time I have used this company and I highly recommend them. I have had two different crews doing the work and both did an outstanding job."

"The servicemen were exceptionally polite, knowledgeable and professional. They diagnosed a long standing problem that other plumbers did not and fixed it right then and there. I thought the price for putting in the new vent on the pump was great ($475). $200 for cleaning out the shower drain (full of hair visible to the eye after they popped the cover to show me) was a little high. But I would definitely hire again if needed. Thank you!"

Further, additives made with organic solvents or alkali chemicals can actually be harmful to the necessary bacteria in a septic system.

A saturated leach field can result from various underlying issues, so it's best to call a professional septic company to diagnose and treat the problem. Depending on the cause of the saturation, potential fixes include pumping out a full septic tank, adding more bacteria to the tank, or regrading the soil to fix low spots. It may also be necessary to reroute rainwater and runoff away from the leach field using gutters, downspouts, and extenders. Once the primary issue is resolved, planting specific types of vegetation over the area can help absorb excess water. In more severe cases, you might need to install a larger septic tank or replace the leach field entirely.

While you don’t have to run out and immediately buy a new toilet at the first sign of a clog, if the toilet keeps clogging because it’s a low-flow or poorly designed model, a new toilet may be the way to go. If your toilet keeps clogging, you can try using less toilet paper, adjusting the fill valve, checking the toilet vent pipe on the roof, and using a toilet auger to make sure nothing is stuck in the pipe or trap.

To clean gunk out of a sink drain, pour in a half cup of baking soda, then 1 cup of white vinegar. The two will react chemically; let them fizz for 15 minutes, then rinse with boiling water. Any more bleach in your disposal can harden oils and greases in your drain, which can cause problems. Always wear gloves when working with bleach, and know that you really don’t need bleach at all—vinegar, baking soda, salt, and ice should do the trick.
