"My existing Stucco job of a large home was of high quality but one area had strange peeling. There is no one in this area who performs this trade. I went through Home Advisor and located Jean of CT Stucco in the New Haven area. He drove all the way out to Woodstock Valley, sized up the job, gave me a price and emailed me a quote a few days later. They returned when scheduled. because this home is on the side of a hill, they pipe-staged the entire back of the house, power washed and scraped away all the loose material and applied a new ground coat of cement. They applied the color and texture coat the next day. I had the old color chart from the original job and jean brought color samples and part numbers that match original job. They also repaired the window trims and decorative color bands that are a different color. consequently, they were working with three different colors at the same time with perfect cutting-in. Keep in mind, there could be a very slight difference in color shade due to exposure of the old and a possible change in the formulation of the new. I have been in and out of the construction business for many years and very familiar with this particular trade. it is fussy and precise work with no room for error or incompetence. Finding the "RIGHT" contractor in this trade is paramount, and they are few and far between. I highy reccomend Jean and CT Stucco Construction for quality masonry stucco work."

"I hired Jon and his father based on reviews I read on online and let me tell you these guys are beyond amazing. The customer service, the quality of work, the time frame and the pricing were beyond exception. We had our back patio done with pavers and loved their work that we had several other jobs. 2 walkways, retaining wall, veneer stone on our entry and AND they removed all of our sliding and stucco our ranch home. We now have a California style home in CT. Beautiful, Beautiful, Beautiful!!! They were on time each day (and we are an hour away from them) and at the end of the day they cleaned their belongings for the following day. Never left any messes. We had some little add ons and changes throughout the projects and Jon and his father made those changes without any issues. Before finding R&am we had other quotes and the prices were ridiculous AND I would get a call back several day later. We are SO happy we found R&M! "We had a retaining stone wall built by Mr. Spaho. He was on time, worked a full day and built a beautiful wall for us. He worked alone and always cleaned up beautifully at the end of a day. "We hired American House to install the vinyl siding on our home and they were terrific. Arthur is extremely accommodating. He responded quickly to any questions I would text him. He is very professional and a really nice guy. It was a pleasure to work with him. His crew was hard working and did a beautiful job on our house. They used quality material, such as heavy gauge oversized gutters and downspouts. The trim work was precise and the attention to detail was outstanding. To top it off the price was very reasonable. Due to Covid the production of the 25â Certainteed Monogram Siding we wanted was put on hold. During the long wait Arthur stayed in touch with us giving us updates. He never pushed us to use a different product even though we waited about two years. It was worth the wait. "Frank Tilli and his team did a great job, and I especially appreciated the efforts of our project lead Dan. We had a short timetable because our (c) 1936 boiler was leaking and needed to be gotten rid of asap. The job was more extensive than it looked because there turned out to be a bunch of asbestos-covered piping that was obscured behind various partitions and walls in the basement. Removal of one wall turned up an electrical problem which also had to be dealt with. The professional crew made sure the job got done within one day and at cost despite the wrinkles.
In doing his initial walk-through, Frank suggested the possibility that some asbestos from the leaky boiler might have contaminated the basement due to a whitish residue on the floor (fortunately the boiler asbestos appeared intact once it was disassembled). I'm not sure how likely the possibility of contamination was but if we weren't operating under an insurance claim I would want to know for sure whether we were dealing with friable vs intact asbestos in the basement. But either way I'm glad to have the remediation done--a project well worth the while. I would recommend Abide.
