"????? If I could give zero stars, I would Hiring this contractor was a nightmare from start to finish. The bathroom they delivered is so poorly done that I feel like I need to redo it entirely. They rely on subpar subcontractors with no professionalism or craftsmanship. ? Overpromise and underdeliver: I had to stay on top of every detail myself, doing the job the contractor was hired to manage. ? Unreliable: Never kept appointments or confirmed schedules. The only time they showed up on time was to collect payment. ? Unsafe practices: At one point, a subcontractor was cutting concrete inside the bathroom with a gas?powered tool, filling my entire home with smoke. I had to intervene to stop it and argue just to get basic protections like tarps in place. ? Poor management: Subcontractors openly complained about not being paid, and I even had to send one home myself because of unacceptable behavior. ? End result: Substandard work that does not reflect the money spent. Save yourself "

For rooms with an even number of feet (10 x 12, for example), you can technically just multiply them together to get the number of square feet in the room (10 feet x 12 feet = 120 sq. ft.). For irregularly shaped rooms or areas that aren’t even square feet, converting to inches will be your best bet for an accurate measurement.

Cut pile, loop pile, and textured carpets are options. Choose based on comfort, durability, and style.

Impervious or vitreous tile and vinyl flooring work best for the kitchen. These surfaces are non-porous (or have a very low porosity) that can stand up against spills, splashes, and plumbing leaks. You can lay carpet by yourself, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you should. A knee kicker, carpet stretcher, and seam roller are a few pieces of equipment you’ll need that you may not already have lying around. Even if you’re just replacing your carpet and not your baseboards, experts recommend removing existing baseboards before installing new carpet. This allows for a clean and seamless installation without the risk of damaging the baseboards or the carpet. Additionally, removing the baseboards gives you the opportunity to stain or repaint them as well as inspect and repair any underlying issues with the walls or flooring.
