"I hired Save A Tree to trim my big 175-200 year old oak tree. I told them there were ants in the tree and I was concerned about future damage. They told me they can do ant treatment also a seaweed treatment to help prevent shock. I had several other companies look at my tree. They were the only ones that even mentioned having services like this! Or discussed shock prevention for my tree."

"I couldn’t be happier with the work from BMG Stump Grinding! From the first time I reached out, they were friendly, professional, and easy to work with. They did a great job removing the stump and cleaned everything up so well afterward that you could hardly tell it was ever there. It’s always nice to find a company that takes pride in their work and treats you like a person, not just another job. I really appreciate how smoothly everything went and would absolutely recommend BMG Stump Grinding to anyone who needs a stump removed. Great service and great people!"

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

There are several signs that may indicate a tree needs to be cut down. These include visible damage to the trunk or branches, a hollow trunk, extensive storm damage, or a significant lean to one side. Other warning signs are pest infestations or the tree growing too close to a house, power lines, or other structures. It is best to hire a professional arborist to inspect the tree, as they can determine if it can be saved or if removal is necessary.

Many gardeners charge an hourly rate for their services, and your total cost will depend on the amount of services and the experience of the gardener. Gardeners with basic experience charge between $20 and $30 per hour, while a more experienced gardener can charge as much as $60 to $88 per hour.

The cost of lawn mowing is about $125, which you might need on a weekly or biweekly basis. However, the cost of soil testing averages about $1,450, which should only be done every three to five years.

Since each tree is different, it’s impossible to say how long a dead tree can remain on your property. While it could be days, months, or even years, it’s highly likely that, at some point, the tree will fall. In the meantime, dying or dead trees can become a haven for pests, so it’s best to have them removed sooner rather than later.

Professionals use assessments, strategic cuts, specialized equipment, and safety measures to ensure healthy growth or the safe removal of trees or shrubs.

Dead tree branches should be removed, because they can cause the tree to lose nutrients. They can also make the tree more susceptible to disease and pests. Removing dead and diseased branches can help the tree recover and increase the odds of saving a dying tree. Make sure to prune the tree correctly to avoid damaging it further.
