"Challenger painted the outside of my house and it looks great! They gave me a reasonable bid and provided quality service. They painted my small Cape Cod style home which is 70 years old and has cedar shakes. On one side of the house some of the shakes were warping and needed to be replaced. They were able to do this work as well as the painting. I felt very confident in their ability to do all of the work. Communication with the owner was the best. He always got back to me (sometimes within minutes) when I had a question. His painters showed up every day until the work was done. They were very professional, worked quickly and carefully and were very pleasant. They were so hard working, never taking a break other than lunch. They were very attentive to detail and gave the site a good clean up each day. When the house was done they carefully replaced all of my patio furniture, etc. I would definitely consider hiring Leandro and his crew for any future projects as they made this a stress-free process!"

"They did an excellent job. Diligent and spent the time required to do the job properly. The soft wash process for our blue stone patio will require some time to see if it keeps the mold from coming back next year and the year after. If it does it is the right way to go as opposed to power washing. It does an excellent job on Azak."

"Double S contacted me immediately about my need for house/roof washing. They were wonderful to work with. Very responsive. Good reviews and experience ... knew what they were talking about! Did a fantastic job on my challenging "green-tinged from algea" house :) As well as getting some moss off the roof and cleaning up my brick front walk. I was very pleased with the work they did and their professionalism."

FAQs for sandblasting service projects in Durham, CT

You should paint your home exterior every five to 10 years, on average. Climate and surroundings can affect how well paint holds up. Wood siding will likely need a fresh coat of paint every three to seven years. Paint on brick tends to last about eight to 17 years, on average.

Yes, pressure washing companies typically use your home’s water supply from the water spigot outside your house. While arrangements can be made with the pressure washing company to supply its own water, it’s very rare. Unless the company is already set up to supply its own water, this will likely incur additional costs for the company to fill a tank and haul it.

The main difference between pressure washing and power washing is that power washing uses hot water and pressure washing does not. Pressure washing uses only the water from the outside hose connection. Heated power washers tend to cost more and are more commonly used by professionals. Hot water with special cleaners is better suited to more complex or challenging cleaning tasks such as removing grease or oil from a concrete slab. In most cases, pressure washing your driveway should not require heat or powerful cleaners.

The cost to pressure wash a house ranges from $100 to $750, depending on the location, size, and height of your house. Power washing, on the other hand, costs from $250 to $400 per project, on average. Other cost factors include the accessibility of some areas of the house.

The cost to paint the exterior of a house ranges from $1,900 to $4,500 or about $1.50 to $4 per square foot, depending on the size, height, and complexity of the home layout. Other cost factors include your location, the type of siding (e.g., wood, aluminum, brick, stucco, etc.), and the kind of paint (e.g. oil-based, latex, acrylic, etc.). Painting the trim a different color or painting intricately designed trim can also increase the cost.
