They installed a chimney cap, sealed two other old chimney pipes (no longer in use), sealed the stone of the chimney itself and also installed a flexible crown seal. Turns out that the linings in both chimneys were cracked and deteriorated badly, including the flue to the furnace. These were replaced and the fireplace interiors were sealed.
