"If I could rate Sean more than 5 stars, I certainly would. He called immediately when he received notification and arrived at the house in about 2 hours. He suggested we put a trap by the entrance where I had seen what I thought was a woodchuck. He said to call him as soon as there was an occupant in the trap. He even called the next day to check, but the trap was empty. After about 3 days nothing. On Monday, the 13th, there was an occupant. Not a woodchuck, but a racoon that I thought was a young one. Gave him a call and he arrived in a few hours. Was not a young racoon, but a good-sized adult. It was decided to let it out in the woods behind my home and see if it would leave. I've never seen an animal move so fast. The minute he was released he was out of sight. Sean also helped me to block the entrance to the spot where I had seen the woodchuck. He said to call him if I saw any evidence of a return. So far it hasn't returned. If I ever have another problem like this one, I would certainly call Sean immediately and would recommend him to anyone that would need his service. Great person, knowledgeable, kind and caring and affordable."

"Had a resident raccoon and the kind gentleman came out and looked up in the alcove attic of my garage and breezeway and under my deck but the animal had gotten out. No fee and he assured me he'd be back if I needed him. I called later in the evening and he was at my home by 9am the next morning. I will definitely use him again."

Animal Removal questions, answered by experts

While foxes may find them unpleasant, mothballs are not an effective deterrent. Additionally, mothballs are toxic for humans and animals and should never be used outside. They contain naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, which are very harmful to the environment. Use safer, more reliable deterrents, or hire a professional wildlife control expert.

While possums don’t typically carry rabies, they can have lice, fleas, ticks, and mites. According to the University of California’s Pest Management Program, possums can also carry diseases like leptospirosis, tuberculosis, toxoplasmosis, coccidiosis, and fevers. Possums are also the carriers of a parasite that can pass to horses and cats called Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis (EPM).

If a wild animal enters your yard, prioritize safety for yourself and the animal. Remember to avoid direct contact and always keep a safe distance. Contact local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation center if the animal is hurt or in distress. Both sources should be able to guide you on how to proceed and send help if needed. Please wait for the animal to leave naturally for non-threatening situations, as many will. To deter future visits, implement measures like securing trash cans, sealing entry points, and removing potential food sources.

Rocks are less likely to attract snakes and other critters because their prey (termites, ticks, and other insects) don’t usually inhabit this environment. However, if you have placed together rocks with large spaces in between or near a source of water, you may find a snake or an occasional chipmunk seeking shelter.

Even if you have extreme ophidiophobia (fear of snakes), don’t try to shoot or kill them with a shovel. Besides being pretty cruel, killing snakes in most states is illegal unless your life is at risk and many species are protected.

Plus, you're putting yourself at greater risk using these techniques if it goes wrong and the now-angry snake is venomous.
