"I was very impressed with David's responsiveness and every member of his crew was a pleasure. They completely removed the kitchen floor (and several layers of subfloor) in my 100+ year-old home, made repairs to floor joists and installed new flooring that looks beautiful. It was an evolving project and I appreciated the team's flexibility and speed with which they completed the project."

"There are professionals who paint and then there are professional painters. Anderson and his crew have painting honed to an art form. This is the 3rd time we’ve asked the, back into our home, and we have not been disappointed once. They are punctual, courteous, careful, and methodical. Switch covers and outlet covers are removed, not painted around. They’ve been able to turn the most damaged and wavy walls into near-perfect surfaces you’d swear are brand new - if you hadn’t watch them toil from 8am till after 5pm every day for a week to rehab it. They clean up each day, do their best to keep the dust contained with the latest technology vacuum sanders and plastic containment sheets. They know every trick of the trade and bring it all to bear on your project. If they say they can do it faster or cheaper than your other quotes, it’s because they know something the other guys don’t. If they say it will take longer, trust them... they’ve don’t it before and know what they are talking about. I’d absolutely hire them again, and wouldn’t think of calling anyone else unless they were too busy to hit my deadline."

"Scott and his crew painted nearly my entire interior (kitchen, living room - with vaulted ceilings, dining room, entryway, hallway, and nursery) in just 5 days. They were super efficient and the work was excellent. Scott is easy to communicate with and responsive to any ideas you have. Couldn’t have asked for it to go any smoother! We loved them so much, we added on painting our kitchen cabinets!"

Wallpaper Removal questions, answered by experts

Many peel-and-stick wallpapers aren’t moisture-resistant, so if you install them in high-humidity rooms, mold can grow behind the wallpaper. It’s best to reserve peel-and-stick wallpaper for bedrooms, living rooms, and other rooms with lower humidity levels. Not only does this minimize the risk of mold growth, but it also keeps the wallpaper from bubbling or peeling.

Prime and repaint walls after removal to ensure a clean, finished surface.

Yes, you can pay someone to strip wallpaper. Before you hang new wallpaper, you should hire a local wallpaper removal service to prep the surface properly. Wallpaper removal pros cost $0.55 to $1.50 per square foot or $500 to $700 per room. Prices vary by room size and removal technique, as some options are more labor-intensive.

To remove pre-pasted wallpaper, you’ll need to wet the wallpaper or steam it to loosen the paste on the back of the wallpaper. Spray the paper with water, then let it soak for 10 to 20 minutes. From there, you should be able to peel off the wallpaper. Then, you may need to follow up with a cleaning solution and a scraper to remove any remaining wallpaper paste on the walls.

If you’re installing new wallpaper and have leftover glue, you can remove unused wallpaper paste from the bucket or pan it’s in by letting it dry. If it’s an oil-based paste, seal it in a plastic bag and throw it in the garbage. Otherwise, toss the leftover wallpaper paste in the trash. Although it’s water-soluble, don’t rinse unused wallpaper paste down the sink because it could dry in the pipes and cause a blockage.
