"Steve Smalley of Viomax Heating and Cooling came up with an elaborate scheme to cheat my mother out of $1500. He took $1000 from her to order a part to fix her furnace. He came back 6 weeks later and took another $500 and claimed he needed it to pick up the part. That was 2 months ago. He has since blocked her number. He refuses to give any information about where the part was ordered from. It is now the end of November, and she has no heat. He clearly planned this to take advantage of someone vulnerable. He is willing to steal money from widows. He will steal from you too."

"We contacted Paradis in March 2019 to begin the process of gathering information for above ground pool installation. We met with Vic and immediately knew that there was no need to work with any other company. Vic educated us around the entire process and walked through each and every model they sell. This was a ZERO PRESSURE sales process and Vic stands behind every single product he sells, yes, even the least expensive models. We appreciated that so much. You just don't see that very much. We also wanted a deck built onto the pool and he worked with us on the design and listened to what we wanted in terms of proximity to our existing deck off the house. Once the process was started in June, it was amazing how smoothly everything worked together. They have the installation down to the minute. Literally, as they finished putting up the pool, the water truck was backing down our driveway ready to fill. All workers were extremely friendly and respectful of property and just a pleasure to work with. Kim, in the office, was extremely patient with us and literally responded to emails within minutes. I am not sure we ever waited longer than an hour to hear back from her. The financial transaction/estimates/payment portion of the sale was just as great. Following the completion of the project, we had 2 very minor issues. They were addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. As the season went on and we needed some assistance with balancing of chemicals and troubleshooting a few issues, they were very responsive and helpful with all questions and provided great advice that solved each of our issues every single time. This is such an awesome family to work with."

Many people find saltwater tubs worth the upfront expense. They cost less to maintain than traditional hot tubs, so you can save in the long term. Maintenance is also easier, typically involving balancing the pH and cleaning the tub rather than adding chemicals. They’re also gentler on sensitive skin, and you won’t walk away with a strong chlorine odor.

To refill a hot tub after winter, start by opening up the tub and giving it a quick cleaning. If you use antifreeze, drain out the water then grab a hose and thoroughly clean the tub shell out, spraying water into each jet of the tub. 

Reconnect the hot tub and turn the power back on. When it’s time to fill the tub again, insert the hose into the filter well (if available). Avoid trapping too much air in the water lines, which can cause the pump to lock up when it starts again. Add the necessary chemicals and start the heating process. It will take some time—most of a full day—for the water to heat up again.

You can drain a hot tub very quickly by using a submersible pump rather than the hose-sized drain at the bottom exterior of the tub. A pump can move up to 30 gallons per minute, draining your hot tub in no time. Using the regular drain can take up to two hours.

How often you change the water in your swim spa depends on how often you use it. Most manufacturers recommend changing the water every three to six months. If you use your swim spa throughout the seasons, it’s a good idea to set up a quarterly deep cleaning schedule. The ideal instructions should be in the owner’s manual.

Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. If your lawn has a dedicated drainage area that’s free from plants and foundations, you can likely drain it there. Avoid storm drains, as the hot tub water will enter waterways and could hurt aquatic life. Likewise, do not pour it out directly on any public land or where it can get into your neighbors’ property.
