I have since learned that torsion springs are available at retail for considerably less than $100 each. Consequently, $600+ for profit and labor, even on an "emergency" basis, is clearly excessive. Initially, the technician installed the wrong springs and had to replace them. In the end, the door works just fine and I can only hope that the quality of the springs will help to justify the cost. I did appreciate the rapid response to my "emergency" despite the cost.."
