"The customer service from choosing the window treatments to having them installed was excellent. The communication was always prompt and professional. We would definitely recommend their services."
"We had a 35 year old solarium in great need of repair. The project was complex and difficult, but Wayne had the skills and expertise to replace six large windows and rebuild the solarium. It was a challenging project, and Wayne did an exceptional job. Our "new" solarium adds greatly to the value of our house. Wayne knows windows and doors and he gets five stars from us! Mary Ross"
"I want to thank Flawless Results for my wonderful windows there everything I dreamed of. They are professional and answered all my questions from start to finish, Ashley referred me to the company and Bob Murphy owner helped me purchase my Andersen windows."
"The installers were great. The salesperson made promises that he did not keep and he missed a window. When the person came to measure he also didn’t catch that I was having all my windows done except one. The windows look great. The response when I notified the co that one window was missed was very fast but added to my cost."
"IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR THIS REVIEW: Scott at Complete Basement Systems reached out to me after reading my initial comments (below). He worked with me to resolve the situation and I am pleased to say that, after becoming aware of my concerns, this company has provided truly excellent customer service! Thank you, Scott, for your attention and follow up. *****Review updated to 5 stars all around! ***** -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The field inspector was great and explained the work that needed to be done on my driveway and sidewalk. The team arrived ahead of schedule and went straight to work. Concrete repair looks great, but LOTS of splashed residue on my front siding and windows that quickly turned into large dark spots. I emailed the company, along with a few photos, to at least find out how to best deal with the stains and heard nothing back even after 3 attempts. Absolutely no response. Zero calls. Zero follow-up emails. The work quality and initial inspection/quote process of this company are great. The courtesy of their team members is great. The collateral damage, at least in my case, was substantial. Follow-up customer service after the job is complete is really terrible, as in apparently non-existent, and it will most definitely affect my willingness to recommend them to my contacts, even though the actual concrete repair was well done."

"Mr. Ferrell first connected his computer to my computer via internet and worked for quite a few hours trying to determine what exactly was wrong. The next day he continued working from his computer for several hours. He determined he would have to have my desktop tower to complete the repair. He and my son met in Huntsville to exchange the tower. He then cleaned up a lot of what was wrong and reloaded Windows 10. He deleted the D: drive which had way too much memory allotted to it. The tower was returned and I plugged it all back together and it is working better than it did when I first purchased it. I would use him again and I recommend him highly to anyone needing computer updating and/or repair. His work is warrantied and he is very personable, knowledgeable, and helpful."
"This is pretty much as good as it gets without having the designer come to your house. We received detailed recommendations for lighting, accessories, fabric types, window treatments, lots of good details in the recommendations. The actual remodel changed the room, but most of the recommendations still apply. I'm not sure about the prices of the items they recommend, but it does give you practical ideas for furniture you may already have or how to shop in a retail store, etc. "
"They installed all new windows in my house and also redid a shower. They have done an excellent job on all three projects! I would recommend them to anyone."
The average shutter is designed to last 20 to 25 years. Proper maintenance for the type of shutters you have is essential for helping them reach their full potential.
Plantation shutters cost an average of $2,990, making them one of the pricier shutter options. However, they offer a 75% return on your investment and are great options for boosting curb appeal and property value. Most people go for plantation shutters for their timeless, vintage look. They also provide the strongest light blocking and temperature control for your home.
Not all windows are suitable for shutters, as certain styles can prevent them from functioning correctly. It's best to avoid installing shutters on bay windows, picture windows, dormer windows, and double-mulled windows. Shutters are better suited for large, full-size standard windows or French doors.
Additionally, consider the room's lighting needs. Since shutters effectively block light, they are an excellent choice for rooms where you want more darkness and privacy, such as a master bedroom or a main living room. For window types that are not ideal for functional shutters, some homeowners choose to install fixed (non-functional) shutters to maintain a consistent look across the home.
Wood is the most classic shutter material. Common options include pine, cedar, or brasswood. MDF shutters are also a more affordable option that retains the timeless, classic look. Composite shutters, mainly vinyl and aluminum shutters, have also become more popular over the years. You may also find steel shutters, sometimes referred to as security shutters, used on the exterior. Shutters also come in various colors and finishes, adding another layer of design flexibility.
The most popular estate shutter brands include Hunter Douglas, Budget Blinds®, and Graber®. Hunter Douglas shutters cost $20 to $26 per square foot and include high-quality hardwood and faux wood options. Budget Blinds shutters cost $20 to $24 per square foot, depending on if you choose natural wood or another material. Depending on the material, Graber shutters range from $18 to $24 per square foot.
