"Foundation Repair adjusted existing push piers and installed additional push piers to re-level the house due to settlement. Workers were efficient, competent, courteous, and explained the process thoroughly. Foundation Repair stood by their warranty. We only had to pay for a 5-year service plan with Foundation Repair, for the replacement of concrete (dug up to access push piers) by a third party, and will have to pay for repair to drywall and paint damaged during leveling process (which was anticipated)."

"Michael kept me informed by text of his arrival time. He found that the crack in my foundation was just on the surface, not all the way through. He said my cracked garage floor could be supported by injected polyurethane and recommended a company that could do that. He told me about a grated trench? that could drain the water that sits in front of my garage, freezes, and has badly damaged the apron. Michael has been very helpful already."

"Yes, though there were some bumps and burps along the way. He was the only plumber to respond to my emergency leak calls, though he lives in the next county. There was some trouble getting parts in my small town and I was without water for several days. Anyway, I now have running water again! I never thought I would ever look forward so much to doing laundry. 🙂"

"John at Ridgeline has quickly become our go to plumber. He has completely re-plumbed the water line beneath 3 rental mobile homes that we manage as well as several other smaller jobs. He's super friendly and does great work. He even saved us when we once hired someone else (who evidently wasn't qualified to be doing plumbing) when John was out of town. The guy was trying to way overcharge us for horrible work (that was immediately leaking) and John helped us set that situation straight."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Yes, professionals ensure proper grading and drainage to prevent water pooling.

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Sump pumps remove excess water from the lowest point of your home, which prevents flooding. When a sump pit fills with water, a sump pump pushes that water outside of the basin and into an exterior discharge pipe. From there, the water flows away from your home, so it doesn’t damage your foundation.

Almost any kind of home can have a wine cellar or cabinet installed. You’ll need an area where a concrete floor can be put in, along with the necessary insulation, climate control, and ventilation systems. If you think of yourself as an aspiring sommelier, an underground wine cellar may be ideal, but it will cost significantly more.

What you choose to install really depends on your budget and how many bottles you’re looking to store.

Ideally, your sump pump discharge should run down a natural downhill slope 10 to 20 feet away from your home’s foundation. However, if your property is naturally flat, that might not be an option. Instead, you may be able to discharge it into a neighborhood storm drain or a nearby creek or pond. If that’s not possible, consider burying it underground.
