"This contractor showed up and did the work when they said they would. Their work was thorough and I was pleased with the end product so much so that I asked them for additional estimates for other concrete work I had in mind. When they gave me the estimate for these other concrete work, they requested an additional $3,000 above their estimate to cover losses on the original job. They requested this without any sort of backup that itemized their losses. In the course of performing the original work that I hired them to do, they never mentioned that they under bid the job and was losing money. If they had, I might've been open to some sort of negotiations. Instead they decided to just arbitrarily add it on the next project without any sort of justifications. Based on this, I cannot recommend this contractor even though I was satisfied with their work."

The red mulch really high lights and accentuates the different levels of landscaping. The dry river bed really adds depth to the whole project. The sod that was added on both sides of the sidewalk works great with the whole concept."

"Nate did several projects for me but he is most known for his stone mason skills. He built stone planter wall and a stone sitting area. Many times I was unable to be there during his work hours- he worked with little oversight by me. He was professional and took care of my home and work areas very well. We agreed upon pricing prior to the work starting and if he had a problem with stone or supplies he would call and tell me what was necessary and why. There are typically unforeseen challenges with supply chain so I anticipated it might take more time then we allotted. He also worked during the winter in the cold and snow, rain etc. I will use him again."

Throughout all phases of the project, Rudy kept us informed and listened and responded to any and all questions or concerns that arose. Everyone that showed up on the work site was friendly, had a great deal of experience, and were hard workers. The price for the project was very reasonable in comparison to other quotes we received. Therefore, our project finished early, came in within budget, and we were updated and kept informed throughout the whole project. That's a successful project and we would definitely recommend Vargas Home Improvement, and Rudy will be our first call for any other similar projects in the future."
