"I will never hire this company again. They didn’t pull the required permits and didn’t leak test the exhaust pipe on the furnace. The next day I started the furnace and one of my carbon monoxide detectors went off. I called the company and the owner who installed the furnace said no big deal and that it happens with new furnaces. I followed his instructions and changed some filters after opening windows and doors. The next morning I was awake and working from home when all my Carbon Monoxide detectors went off. I called the owner again and he had me climbing on the roof to check the vent pipe for birds nests and making all kinds of things for me to check. I did as he asked and asked him if they checked the vent pipe. He said, “we looked at it.” I told him I couldn’t find anything blocking the pipe outside and needed him to come back and look. He came back out and found that some rust inside the pipe caused blockages up to 50% of the pipe. When I asked him why he didn’t check the pipe or leak test it, he said, “sorry I don’t have X-ray vision to know something was wrong with your pipe. When I went in the crawl space myself to check it, there was rust on the joint and obvious that it could have leaks. He said the pipe needed to be replaced and would do it for a few thousand dollars. He could have killed me and didn’t really seem to care. Would never recommend this company."

The tank was just emptied that day and I had not backfilled it yet, hoping the riser attachment could be done very soon. Paul was very professional. Paul called me back the next morning, gave me the estimate and indicated he would have someone out to my house that same morning. His man arrived in less than an hour, did an excellent job attaching two 12 inch risers and lids. He was finished in about 40 minutes. I am extremely pleased with Hi River Construction.
