We pride our company on reliability, great communication, integrity, and quality work. We are experts in our trade and will do our best to keep you as educated as we can on your particular task or project. We look forward to earning your business!

"Communication was excellent and we were able to set up an appointment to have a light fixture removed and replaced with a much bigger, island type chandelier lamp with 5 bulbs. The work was done quickly and correctly and Seth is an experienced professional electrician, having owned his own company and worked on very large projects like jumbotrons! We love our new fixture and would highly recommend this electrician for any of your needs. Thanks, Seth!"

"He was great- the door installs posed several problems as the original door was not set correctly. Dave was able to solve for everything, and the door looks great now, even though he had to remove and rebuild the door frame. He was very punctual, orderly, and experienced in solving problems. I quickly felt completely confident that the work would be done, and done correctly. He worked through my list at a good pace. Dave is also very pleasant, will definitely be calling again when my list builds up!"

Hello, My name is Mario Licata. I have been building, remodeling, cleaning and doing all around property maintenance since 1986. I am a master window cleaner, studied electrical theory for four years while I was an electrician. I love being a father and a husband but it doesn't pay well so I do these other jobs to pay the bills. I am an honest hardworking person. Over the years I have developed great relationships with other service professionals and that is why I am able to offer such a wide range of services to my clientele. However, rest assured, I am tooled and capable to take care of your work if one of my great service professionals is not able to attend to it. I have been a business owner since 1986 and I have grown and sold 2 small businesses in that time.

"Went well........they moved inside items carefully to get access, used ladders where needed, cleaned sills and outside frames and screens in addition to windows, stayed busy and tolerated my obnoxious ankle biter."

With over 20 years of experience we are dedicated to bring your dreams to reality! We guarantee your satisfaction, and we won’t leave until the job is done right. Estimates are free for additional work. Troubleshooting requires a service call. However, if we can work it out over the phone, we'll save the expense. Service calls are $90 for residential or $150 for commercial in Mesa County. Call or click to schedule a free estimate today!

"John and Dave are the best electricians I have found in Grand Junction. They do good work and understand customer service. John bid the job and didn't try to charge any extras after getting it, which speaks volumes about his character. That's a game many contractors play and it was refreshing to hire someone that didn't do it. I would highly recommend calling Steeds, LLC first if you need an electrician in the grand valley area."

We are a small, local repair and remodeling company. We provide high detail service and pride ourselves on making every customer happy one homeowner at a time. If needed, we will ocassionally hire subcontractors to get the job done on schedule. If the job site distance exceeds 10 miles from the office there will be a $30 trip charge, which is due upon arrival. If hired for the project, the trip charge will be discounted on the invoice.

"Frank was prompt, efficient, and nice to talk with. He was able to schedule the appointment with me for the morning after I called him. He completed all projects very well and is clearly a skilled handyman. The bed frame in particular was a lot of work, and he did an excellent job. I was glad I contacted him, and I highly recommend him."

Ceiling Fans questions, answered by experts

Many ceiling fan mounts feature a design that can accommodate slight slopes by using a ball joint mechanism at the end of the downrod. If your ceiling has a steeper slope than your fan allows for, you can install a downrod that will allow your fan to safely hang below the slope.

There are several telltale signs to let you know that your ceiling fan needs servicing or replacement. For instance, if it’s wobbling, rotating too slowly, or if your ceiling fan is making noise such as squeaks, buzzes, and thumps, it’s time to have it looked at by a professional. Not only may it indicate a potential problem with the fan itself, but it could also signal a red flag that it’s improperly assembled or there’s an issue with the wiring.

Yes, adding wiring for a ceiling fan where there is none requires an electrician to build the electrical infrastructure. You should not attempt to do this job yourself, as electrical work can be dangerous without experience. All told, the job is a big one, and it might cost up to $2,000.

Yes, ceiling fans come with a few other features that help with function, style, and convenience. Multi-speed fans can give you specialized control over the airflow. Consider getting one with an integrated light to save ceiling space. Some ceiling fans come with a remote control that enables you to change direction without climbing a ladder. Of course, you can also consider installing a wall switch to enjoy that convenience.

The direction you want your ceiling fan to move in depends on the season you’re in. During summer, you want it to move counterclockwise to produce a cooling downdraft. During winter, you want it to move clockwise to circulate warm air throughout the room.
