Walterscheids WaterFree Grass is family owned, operated, and the only synthetic turf company on the Western Slope. Leonard Walterscheid and his son Daniel Walterscheid decided to join forces to create a small business while Daniel attended college at Colorado Mesa University. Leonard wanted to team up with his son to teach him how to manage and grow a business so when Daniel graduated in spring of 2014 he could have an established business to take over. I verified Colorado law, which states they had six months to place a lien on our property, requiring notification within three days of doing so, and by registered mail after the lien was placed. We took no action, avoiding reviews or contact. They have since blocked us from their website and emails. Ultimately, they never placed a lien, and the six-month period has passed. Now that everything is resolved, I want to leave a review. While I am satisfied with the project's outcome, I am unhappy with their conduct, including the legal threats and the last-minute demand for more money. His wife, not him, conducted the final walkthrough and provided the warranty and a statement confirming full payment. He even verbally admitted to putting our project on the "back burner" when I questioned the delay."
