"These guys came very unpreparedly... they did not bring their own ladders or flashlights. I had to provide them for them. They also cut 3 different holes in my ceiling before deciding to go through the foundation, they then charged me extra for them having to cut so much.... but it did not reflect on the receipt...when they were done they did a horrible job patching and left the plaster a massive mess. Would only recommend if you are selling per the buyer request to put in and you do not care how it looks."

"Showed up on time; completed project under schedule; VERY conscientious about not tracking any dirt from crawlspace onto floor; took LOTS of before and after pictures to show/explain what was done as it is very hard from to move around our crawlspace; trenched 5 downspout to keep water away from foundation; now the project has been completed I would say encapsulating a dirt crawl space is as necessary for a home maintenance as good insulation and widows and should be done as soon as possible rather than waiting until it HAS to be done; I would give this company 20 stars if I could!!!!"

"I recently had a major foundation repair job done. The job required multiple visits and projects from Bullseye, from relocating the HVAC, to moving water lines to completely redoing the drainage lines and clean outs. Bullseye was with me every step of the way. They were efficient and always reasonably priced. Thanks Bullseye for all your help!"

"Michael kept me informed by text of his arrival time. He found that the crack in my foundation was just on the surface, not all the way through. He said my cracked garage floor could be supported by injected polyurethane and recommended a company that could do that. He told me about a grated trench? that could drain the water that sits in front of my garage, freezes, and has badly damaged the apron. Michael has been very helpful already."

"The company did the concrete foundation and build a steel garage. The materials are high end steel and the siding will hold high winds. All work was done perfect, all on time and very professional. We are very satisfied with this company and recommend it to others."

Foundation Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

No, homeowners insurance policies do not typically cover sump pump installation. However, some companies may offer incentives in the form of discounts or reduced premiums if homeowners install sump pumps. Insurance companies do this because sump pumps can reduce water damage claims. You may also be able to obtain enhanced water-backup coverage after installing a sump pump.

A sump pump should be placed at least three feet deep in a pit. The rim of the sump pump basin should be level with your basement floor. If you find your pit is too deep, you can fill the bottom with gravel until the rim of the sump pump is flush with the floor.

The cost to install a new sump pump, including materials and professional labor, typically ranges from $1,000 to $3,000. The average cost is often cited between $1,200 and $2,500. Several factors influence the final price, including the type of pump, the complexity of the drainage system, and the installation location. For instance, installing a sump pump in a basement may cost around $1,200, while a more complex installation in a crawl space can cost an average of $3,900. It is important to hire a licensed professional for the installation to ensure quality work, which can impact the pump's lifespan and warranty. Note that these costs are for a new installation; replacing an existing unit is less expensive, typically costing $308 to $748.

Signs include persistent dampness, mold or mildew presence, musty odors, and visible water stains. If any of these occur, it is advisable to contact a professional for an inspection.

French drains and yard grading systems are two highly effective ways to fix standing water around the foundation. Since the French drain uses a perforated pipe covered by gravel, you won’t have to worry about water taking the soil away from your foundation. Meanwhile, yard grading levels out the ground to prevent water from gathering around your foundation.
