"I hired Pueblo West Stucoo and stone to resurface my home. The stucco on my home is still in pretty good condition but aged and needing a little repair. The price was right so I hired Robert. "Don showed up on time for the estimate, quoted a fair and reasonable price and time line. Don's crew showed up promptly on the day he said he would start and completed the work the day he said it would be completed. I did masonry when I was younger so I know quality Masonry work when I see it. Don also took care of some things that were neglected by the original Masonry company that built this wall decades ago. When I have another job Don Hill Masonry, will be my first call. If your reading this review he should be your first call."

Masonry materials include natural stone, clay bricks, concrete bricks, glass blocks, and tiles.

Stone can last anywhere from 15 to 100 years before it needs to be restored. You should clean your stone flooring or countertops regularly using cleaners designed for stone surfaces. Stay on top of vacuuming to prevent scratches from deteriorating stone faster, deep clean your stone surfaces using a pH-neutral cleaning solution at least once a year, and reseal the stone every one to five years, depending on foot traffic or usage.

When painting brick, each application method has distinct advantages and disadvantages. Spraying is significantly faster but may not penetrate deeply beyond the surface layer. Rolling is effective for working paint into the brick's texture but can be less effective on mortar joints. If you opt for a roller, choose a thick nap of at least a half-inch to ensure paint gets into all the crevices for even coverage. Using a brush is generally not recommended as it is very time-consuming and provides poor surface penetration. Ultimately, a combination of spraying followed by back-rolling is often the best strategy for a durable and even finish.

You can use normal bricks as cladding for a concrete or clay pizza oven or as a base underneath one. Fire bricks or solid clay bricks are necessary for an outdoor pizza oven’s floor, and you can use clay bricks for the rest of the oven.

Stone houses used to be much more practical, but with the advent of stronger and cheaper materials like concrete, they aren’t seen as much anymore. There are some parts of the world where it makes sense to build with stone, and they are usually next to a stone quarry. Stone is, however, very weather-resistant, which is why many homes near the sea and on mountains are still built with local stone.
