"Epic Enviro Systems is a very professional company. Alan was on time and did a very thorough job. He took samples from every room in the house as well as outdoors and we were able to get our results the same day. He also did a wonderful job of explaining what the samples were checking for and what types of results might be of concern. I would definitely use his services again should the need arise."

"Bought a house and had a Radon Test done. It came back higher than the recommended EPA levels (I trust and believe in the EPA actually). Got a number of estimates and reviewed some companies. I went with SWAT Environmental as they could schedule weekends. I believe his name was Robert, he showed up on time and completed faster than expected. He answered all of my questions and was open and honest about everything. He was respectful of the property interior and exterior. Overall a great experience and I would recommend SWAT if you need Radon Mitigation."

"Stanton is the ONLY radon mitigation company in the RF Valley I would ever employ. I tried another one first and it was the epitome of who NOT to hire. After complete dissatisfaction with that guy, a noisy and very unattractive system, and one that failed the radon test at the end, I hired Stanton Engineering to remove the other failed system. Stanton was incredibly professional, know their stuff, are efficient and better priced overall, gave me a system you barely notice, is quiet and does the job. The owner and crew are friendly and answer all questions and have a work ethic that is outstanding. So if you are comparing companies, know that you can call Stanton Engineering and disregard the rest. You will be so happy you did and so wish I had used them first."

Radon Detection and Reduction questions, answered by experts

Installing a mitigation system reduces radon levels, which can cause lung cancer, providing peace of mind and long-term health benefits. It can also increase your home’s value, as many buyers prefer properties with radon safety measures in place. The investment is relatively low compared to the potential health risks associated with prolonged radon exposure.

Yes, many systems include warranties for performance. Confirm terms with your installer.

The average radon mitigation system uses about 876 kWh of electricity per year, although the exact amount of electricity used will vary depending on the size of the radon fan. Once the system is installed, the annual increase to your energy bill could range from $30 to $300 per year, again depending on the size of the fan.

While DIY testing is possible, abatement generally requires professional installation to ensure efficacy and meet safety standards.

Radon is the number one non-smoking cause of lung cancer in the United States, but it can cause some other concerning side effects in the meantime. If you have a raspy voice, chest pains, trouble breathing, difficulty swallowing, or any of the above, don’t hesitate to perform radon testing and install a mitigation system as soon as possible.
