"Garrett was so helpful and professional. He was the first person to contact me and gave me the best estimate. He arrive on time. He hauled everything by himself. I was impressed. I have saved his contact information in my phone as I will have more items to haul."

"Ben and Tom arrived in the 2 hour window they said they would.  I showed them through our townhouse we are emptying and the marked things we wanted hauled away.  They worked for the better part of an hour picking and choosing the next item to put into their truck until they'd gotten everything.  Tom brought to my attention a box he'd taken out that was marked to be hauled away that he was concerned I might not want to lose.  Good thing he did, because, I'd mistakenly left a tag on a box I then used to put stuff we wanted to keep.  That was excellent service in my opinion."

Hauling questions, answered by experts

Avoid placing hazardous materials, chemicals, and electronics in dumpsters. Consult your provider's specific guidelines for detailed restrictions.

You can try reselling excess pavers online or offering them for free if someone wants to come take them. If you’re in a rush, you can look for a local recycling company to haul the pavers away. Another option is to reuse the excess pavers in another part of your yard. Depending on the size, pavers make good edging materials for garden beds or stepping stones for a simple paver walkway.

Costs range from $20 to $100 monthly, depending on service frequency and waste volume.

The most affordable way to get rid of junk often involves a do-it-yourself approach, especially if you don't have a large amount of debris. Start by sorting your items into categories: donate, recycle, sell, or trash.

  • Donate or Sell: Usable goods can be donated to local charities. You can also list items for free or for a low price on platforms like Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist.

  • Use Municipal Services: Your city's regular garbage collection or bulk pickup days can be the cheapest option. However, be sure to check community guidelines for quantity limits and accepted materials. You can also take recyclables to a city drop-off center.

  • Haul it Yourself: If you have a truck or suitable vehicle, loading the junk and taking it to a local transfer station, public dump, or waste disposal facility is a very cost-effective method.

If a DIY approach isn't possible, consider these options:

  • Rent a Dumpster: You can rent a dumpster, fill it yourself, and the rental company will haul it away. This is a good middle-ground if you can do the labor but don't have a vehicle for transport.

  • Hire a Junk Removal Service: While typically the most expensive choice, hiring a professional junk removal team is the most time-efficient and requires the least effort from you. This is a good solution if your city's services won't accept the items or if you are unable to move them yourself.

Costs range from $200 to $1,000, depending on volume, material type, and labor.
