"I only needed part of my attic insulated and brought up to code. I had others try to sell me lots of services I didnâ t need, nor ask for. Denver Insulation came out, measured the area, and gave me a straight forward quote. Work was very fast and professional."

"Our original siding was 34 years old. They stripped it off in a few hours and replaced it with perfectly installed James Hardie fiber cement siding and trim. We now have a brand new house! Ernest and everyone we had contact with from GS were very patient, service oriented, and concerned for our satisfaction. We would recommend them unconditionally."

"If I had to do this again, I would hire this company. Good people that knew what they were doing. Good price based on all the work they had to do. I had a mix of blow-in services. Blow in the wall where there was no insulation in the garage - that's hard work to get it in there right. The quote came with a person to come back and patch the wall holes, that was nice. In the attic they added insulation and sealed up some penetrations. This part went pretty quickly and I'm looking forward to lower heating and A/C bills."

Eifs Installers questions, answered by experts

Yes, egress windows must meet local building codes for size and accessibility. Professional installers ensure compliance.

There are a range of egress window types available, including:

  • Single-hung: $100–$400

  • Double-hung: $250–$500

  • Horizontal/sliding: $150–$800

  • Casement: $200–$500

  • In-swing: $350–$700

When choosing a type of egress window, consider how you’d like to open it. For example, double-hung egress windows open from top to bottom and let plenty of fresh air in, whereas sliding windows slide open for easy access.

DIY is possible for experienced individuals. Professional installation ensures compliance with building codes and proper sealing.

The cost to install a bow window can range from $1,500 to $15,000, with a national average of $3,900. The total price includes materials, which can cost between $1,200 and over $14,000, and labor, which typically adds $300 to $1,900. Several factors influence the final cost, including the window's size and frame material. For example, vinyl frames are the most budget-friendly option, while wood frames are more expensive. Custom features or energy-efficient upgrades will also increase the price. For comparison, a bay window installation typically costs between $1,000 and $7,000.

Finding a reputable contractor for an egress window installation involves researching and vetting potential candidates. Start by searching for local professionals, reading customer reviews, and checking their websites for a portfolio of their work.

Once you have a shortlist, ask the following questions to ensure they are qualified:

• Are you licensed and insured?

• What experience do you have installing egress windows?

• Can you provide references from previous customers?

• Do you perform the work yourself or use subcontractors?

• What is the estimated project timeline and your current schedule?

• How do you handle payment?
