"This is an unusual review but I am compelled to publish it. As a result of HomeAdvisor, Matt contacted me and stopped by my home. It turns out that Matt and his team did not offer the concrete statue repair services that I sought. Nevertheless, Matt went the extra mile to offer me some advice on steps to successfully manage my water fountain. He also recommended a top-quality water-proofing solution for the preservation of our water fountain. All of Matt's recommendations were put into action and the results have been very good. Matt's professionalism and his care and concern for MY needs, not HIS, stood out to me as the reason to share my thoughts. If you are looking for a trustworthy company to help you with your waterscape needs, I highly recommend Matt and his company."

"Jake and John provided demolition services for a minor subdivision in Englewood. They did an outstanding job. The job was completed on time and on budget without any surprises. I am getting ready to build a minor subdivision on the lot where they completed the demolition work. I am happy to say that they will be doing the excavation, foundations, flat work and landscaping for this project. I highly recommend them because they do a great job, have high standards and are great communicators. Thank you Jake and John! www.Kavodx.com is the real deal."

"Mr. Valasquez gave a quote on installing a complete lawn irrigation system with a rain detector. We hired his company. They did a fantastic job. The job was completed in a timely manner. It is great, not to have to haul the garden hose around the lawn, to water. We highly recommend Valasquez Landscape and give them 5 stars."

Fountains questions, answered by experts

Though there are a lot of factors that go into caring for a koi pond, the most important maintenance you can do is frequent water checks using a koi pond test strip that checks the water for dangerous conditions.  In addition to regular pond maintenance costs, you’ll also need to winterize your koi pond if you live in a colder area.

Whether a natural pool is worth it depends on several factors because they cost more than traditional pools. Many people opt for natural pools because they enjoy swimming in natural bodies of water such as lakes. Also, if you're environmentally conscious, a natural pool is going to be a much more attractive option than a traditional pool.

Moreover, for people with chemical sensitivities, a natural pool is a great solution since the water doesn’t contain chlorine.

Yes, natural pools can get algae since they use the same filtration processes as lakes or streams. However, you can reduce the risk of algae by adding more algae-fighting plants and not installing your natural swimming pool in direct sunlight, as it promotes algae growth.

In addition to length and width, pond liners also come in various thickness levels. Thickness is measured in mils, a unit of measurement equal to one-thousandth of an inch, with most pond liners ranging from 15 to 60 mils in thickness. The smaller the number, the thinner (and weaker) the liner. To prevent rips and tears, it’s best to choose a pond liner that’s at least 30 mils thick.

Yes, it is possible to make a fountain without a pump, though it may seem less intuitive and will require a bit more effort to use. In lieu of an electric pump, there are a few options including hand-cranked pumps or sprinkler systems that can work to provide water for a fountain.
