"Contacted Mr. Alfaro on Friday, 8/18/17 and he came later that day to estimate the job. He quoted a very reasonable price for the amount of work to be done. I thought that the job would cost much more. We set a date and time for him to send his crew to do the job. They arrived on time and worked like demons. Did the work we had asked for and cleaned up after themselves. The job took two men just short of three hours. I thought that the job was underestimated and paid Mr. Alfaro a but more that he had quoted. The price below reflects the amount I paid."

Leaf Removal questions, answered by experts

Some companies offer hazardous waste removal, but additional fees and special handling procedures may be required.

Professional lead removal involves identifying and safely removing or encapsulating lead-based paints and materials, using specialized equipment, and following strict safety procedures to minimize exposure and contamination.

No. Standard homeowners insurance does not cover any kind of lead remediation, focusing instead on sudden, unpreventable events like fires and theft. Many insurance companies will specifically exclude lead paint removal, since it tends to be an expensive and unavoidable project. The exception is if the lead surface is damaged during a covered event (like a flood) and homeowners insurance pays its replacement.

You can sell a house with lead paint, but there are several requirements. If you are aware that lead paint exists anywhere in the home, you must disclose that to potential buyers. Required home inspections will often uncover lead paint, especially for older houses where lead paint may still be a problem. If you have taken steps to encapsulate lead, you should provide buyers with full documentation of the project so it won’t cause any problems later on.

Government regulations such as the EPA and OSHA govern lead removal procedures to ensure health and environmental safety during and after abatement.
