"I loved this company from the first time I met them I knew I wanted them. They did a great job it was very personally done. Very nice workers who got the job done with ease. They cut the wood up like I wanted and came back the next day and hauled off off the debris 10 stars for theses guys"

"I was mostly just confused throughout the process. I had two business lined up for estimates on the job I needed done. This one showed up first. The estimate went great. The guy who came out for the estimate said he was an arborist so he was able to give me an opinion on the overall health of the tree which was nice because it is dangerously close to my house. Then I was going to wait until I got my second estimate, but the guy told me that they usually get a deposit before a job so if I did not give him the deposit today he would have to come back out to get it. I decided to just give him the 10% deposit. The other estimate I got ended up being more expensive anyway (though as you will see later that might be because the second company had a better understanding of what I wanted). I was told that the boss would call me to set up the date the team would come out and cut the branches. I never received a call, or at least if I was called there was no voicemail left. I do not answer numbers I do not recognize so if I do not see a voicemail I assume it was a spam call. Then one day I look out my kitchen window and there are people in my yard. I did not know they would be coming, but they were here and I wanted the limb hanging over my house cut back. Luckily I had enough money on me to pay them for the job, so I went ahead and had them work. This was the part I ended up confused on. I am not sure if I was not clear enough with the guy who did the estimate, or the guy leading the team who did the job, but I thought I was paying to have the limb cut back so that it was not over the house. What they did was cut all the dead branches off the limb and take a lot of weight off the limb. They did assure me that the tree would be safe and that it was healthy. I just thought the plan was different. They did a great job of cleaning my path afterward. They blew all the trimmings off my path, and ended up having to come back the next day to put the branches through the woodchipper. They even ended up leaving me the big pieces of wood when I asked so I have a nice little pile of wood now. The negative here is that anything that the woodchipper did not throw directly into their truck was swept up and put in my trash can, which had just been emptied the day before. So I had to go almost a whole week with my trash can being 70 percent full of tree trimmings, because out here where I live recology only offers the Grey trash can. I do not have the green waste or blue can. They did a good job of making sure the limb is trimmed and safe for the winter, but I am still going to save money and end up going to the other more expensive company that was going to come put with a crane to help remove the rest of the limb. So a summary: the positives were that they did a good job of cleaning my yard, and did the job quickly. The negatives were that I was not told they were coming, I wish they had dumped my trimmings somewhere else, and I feel we had a miscommunication on what the job was supposed to be (that might have been my fault I am not always good at explaining myself)."

"In a week's time, they appraised the work needed--tree removal, grinding stump and remove three large branches from an oak tree that was leaning over the road--scheduled the work and completed the work on time. Cleanup was spotless. Olga and Efren were engaging and very informative. I recommend their work and I would hire them again."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

While the trees in your backyard are good for the environment and look beautiful, they could present a danger to your home under the wrong circumstances. This task is typically beyond the capabilities of the average homeowner due to its dangerous nature, so it’s best to leave this task to a professional. In some cities, it’s even illegal to remove a tree yourself.

Only trim palm trees as needed, which is usually about once per year. However, don't stick to that schedule if the palm tree doesn't need it. Avoid trimming palm trees when possible. It’s best to trim palm trees only when you notice a buildup of dead fronds. That said, leave the brown fronds during the dormant season because this organic matter helps protect the tree from the cooler weather.

Professionals ensure safety, prevent property damage, and handle debris efficiently.

Transplanting a palm tree is a similar process except for a couple of important differences. First, their root ball doesn’t need to be as large as a “true” tree, which makes them a bit easier to dig up and move around. Second, they struggle more with taking root and staying upright in a new location, so it’s important to give them extra support when staking.

In the case that a tree is growing directly on your property line, the cost of maintaining the tree is shared and is the property of both owners in common. In this case, all decisions regarding the maintenance of the tree must be made jointly, and both parties must agree on a course of action. You will need to agree with your neighbor about the cutting of any roots before you carry it out, and your neighbor must also consult with you before doing any trimming. Coming to an agreement with your neighbor about any shared trees ahead of necessary trimming and maintenance will make this process much simpler.
