"Chris is an excellent craftsman. He's punctual, professional, engaging, and knowledgeable. He asked a very fair price and did a superior job repairing the badly deteriorating marble tile in our shower. He made it look new again. We loved him. We recommend his company highly."

"Chris was very knowledgeable and professional.  He did a good job and didn't try to 'sell' me extra's (although I knew I needed them).  When I asked about re-caulking the sink and fixing a chip in the counter he mentioned he noticed them, but stated he doesn't like to highlight minor issues, unless asked.  He doesn't want to give customers the impression he's just trying to sell them extras.  His price for the two items seemed reasonable so I'll definitely have him back out.
I purchased a Groupon for the service which made it reasonable; I'm not sure what the going rate is for this kind of service so I'm not sure how Marble Transformerz compares in price to other companies.

"John did an outstanding job. We changed out the existing shower, sink, faucet. John repaired the tile in the shower, installed the under-mount sink and had his plumber finish the plumbing. He showed up when he said he would and if he couldn't he would call and let me know of his delay. John is my my new "tile guy" from now on. I would recommend him to everyone."

"Mark was very responsive, professional and took a great deal of care that we were happy with the outcome.  Which we were.
Communication:  He called me back immediately upon my first request.  Stayed in contact throughout the process.  And always let me know what was going on and what was left to do.
Punctuality:  Mark kept all appointment times and if he couldn't he called to let us know a new time.
Quality of Work:  Mark was very forth coming with suggestions and options going so far as to pick up extra marterials so we could make an informed decision about our choices.  The mosaic looks perfect.  Extactly as we discussed.
Pricing and Time Line:  The cost was very resonable and was done quickly.
I would reccomend LA Custom Tile and Mark to anyone who asks.  Wish I had more work that needed to be done.
Thanks

"The bathtub in my master bathroom was in desperate need of repair and I didn't know where to start. I saw several ads and actually made an appointment with one of the companies advertised. I was, however, uncomfortable with the fact that I knew nothing about them. I went online and read reviews; some were very bad. I cancelled the appointment. I remembered hearing good things about Angie's list and decided to check it out. I really liked what I saw! I joined, called Paul and he came right out to inspect. Several days later, he did the repair and refinishing. He came back out to caulk . .. . . and I now have a "like new" tub. It's beautiful. Paul is very responsive, friendly, dependable, fairly priced, and does tidy and excellent work. He's also thorough - told me everything I need to know about caring for my new finish (simple tips). Refinishing is all he does so he really knows his stuff! We are already planning to have him back to do more. Next stop - shower. Thank you Paul - see you soon! :-)

"These guys are super professional painters!!! Very affordably priced and they took great care of our property and project during the work. No drips, no over spray, always masked, patched each and every stucco spot on the walls outside and caulked - just like it really should be and without missing anything. They painted the outside walls all around the house including the back and front walls. We could not believe how this new transformation will impact our house. One of our neighbors was the one who recommended them to us and we are very glad that we called them. We will definitely call the in the future."

"Enner and his team were wonderful. Under difficult circumstances due to my condo buildings strict rules Enner managed to get my job done under that had a tight deadline as I wanted the work done before I moved in to my condo. He picked up the tile I had purchased from the store and set to work removing the carpet and installing the tile in my bedrooms and closets. Because my condo is in an older building we discovered that the floor was far from flat. The guys made sure to level my floor whilst laying the tile. Enner and his guys were conscientious, hard workers and kept everything neat and clean. If Enner was unsure of anything he always phoned me to make sure he was on the right path as I was out of state when he started the job. His tile work is stunning and I couldn't be happier. Thanks Enner and the team at Universal Marble, Tile and Granite."

Marble Restoration questions, answered by experts

If you're looking to break up a stone slab or some landscaping stone, the process is very similar to breaking up a boulder, and may in fact be easier because it is easier to access and not as deeply buried into the ground.

It’s generally safe to use a Magic Eraser on quartz countertops. Magic Erasers are made from melamine foam, a gentle abrasive that can remove scratches and stains from various surfaces. Although using abrasive cleaners on quartz is not recommended, the melamine foam is gentle enough to remove minor stains and scratches without permanently damaging the quartz countertops.

Since cesspits must be watertight to prevent leakage and contamination, so they’re typically constructed from one of a few tough materials. Most cesspits are made from fiberglass, concrete, polythene, or steel. Each of these materials carries certain advantages—fiberglass, for example, is resistant to corrosion but may be more prone to cracking if it’s at high capacity.

Deciding between marble and granite for kitchen countertops depends on your personal priorities, budget, and style. Both materials have similar costs for material and installation.

Marble offers a luxurious aesthetic and timeless beauty, but it is more expensive and requires more maintenance. It is susceptible to staining and etching from acidic substances like coffee, wine, or tomato sauce if spills are not cleaned up quickly.

Granite is highly durable, heat-resistant, and easier to maintain, making it a practical choice for busy kitchens.

Both materials should be sealed to protect against damage, but they can still be vulnerable to stains if spills are left on the surface for too long.

Engineered stone is nonporous, unlike natural stone, and does not need to be sealed. You do not have to worry about etching or bacterial growth. It is more durable than natural stone and concrete, as well as highly heat resistant. Engineered stone is easy to clean and maintain. You can wipe it down with warm water and soap. Use a non-scratch scrub pad for stains and avoid any harsh cleaners. Engineered stone can even be eco-friendly, with some manufacturers using waste byproducts or organic resins.
