  Good Life Construction just finished working on my mother's home in South Sacramento, and it looks beautiful! I would like to thank the workers, the owner, and most of all Serge for their outstanding work! Serge is the first guy I met from Good Life Construction. I consider him the "face" of the company. He is kind and personable ... more like an old friend than a company rep. And he was fast and efficient at giving me a detailed estimate of my project. The price was reasonable, and I believed that Good Life Construction would do a good job, because they are the highest-rated contractor on Yelp. What I didn't know was how far they would exceed my expectations! The quality of work was A+, and they were able to complete it faster than other contractors, because they already have their own crew of painters, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc ... ready to work on any project at a moment's notice! I first began looking for a contracting company that would demolish and rebuild the partial brick facade in front of my mother's old house. It was built in 1967, and the brick was crumbling and cracked in many places. Unfortunately, I could only find a couple of companies that lay or repair brick anymore. Good Life Construction is one of those companies. And it was just my luck to find that their company is the highest-rated contracting company on Yelp. Their crew is highly skilled and hard-working. Dimitri and Pavel did a fabulous job laying the bricks! I miss Dimitri's sense of humor and Pavel singing while he worked. Mike, the project manager, was a responsible guy who paid close attention to every detail of the project. He found some serious dry rot in the rim joists behind the brick, and his crew repaired it with great diligence and care. Then, as for my mom's counters, Mike directed me to a place with a large inventory of granite. I was even able to find one that was a rare and beautiful green color! Mike's crew also fixed our pocket/sliding door in the service porch that was always getting stuck. They replaced it with a swinging door that looked even better! Then, when it came to painting the outside of the house, Paul blew my mind with the extra work and time he spent sanding down the numerous old posts in the patio! He did such an exquisite job of painting the house that you would have thought that he was doing it for his own mother. Paul is just about the kindest guy you'll ever meet ... like a younger version of Serge! If this sounds like I'm writing a review for a family member, it's just because Serge, Mike, Dimitri, Pavel, and Paul all make you feel like you're a part of their family. Good Life Construction could actually be called Good Family Construction because that is who they really are ... one big happy family! I trust them just like my family. So now, I'm having them work on my own house in Natomasshow more

  Lavish Gardens was a pleasure to work with and they were very amenable to revising their proposal for me multiple times as I reprioritized the jobs I wanted to get done first. Mike came out to look over the work and do the original estimate and he was great to work with. He gave me some ideas on what I could do and didn’t try to upsell me on things I didn’t need. The week before the work started Russell and Ivan came out to walk the job and I felt very comfortable and knew exactly what would be happening. The week of the job they kept me posted on timing, work accomplished, and work left to be done. I never had to ask for updates and when the crew was at my house they worked hard and were very respectful of me and my neighbors. The work was done efficiently and was very well done. They did some extra work that was related to the job because they had the tool there for it and it was such a nice surprise for me. Additionally, they did an excellent job of cleanup and left my property in pristine shape. Specifically, my project included installing a 30 foot + retaining wall as well as installing over a hundred feet of a decomposed granite path. Lavish Gardens was one of the landscape companies I called but they far outshined the other companies in curtesy, responsiveness, and professionalism. I highly recommend Lavish Gardens and I will definitely be calling them for my next landscape projectshow more

  We love Lavish Gardens! When we first moved into our newly built house in Rocklin, the yard was just dirt and weeds. We met with several other landscaping companies, but Mike at Lavish Gardens was by far the most professional. The work that Mike’s company and team did was performed as planned and estimated. The process was stress free and the work was completed on schedule. Mike is very attentive and responsive. He was always available for any questions we had and kept us informed every step of the way. Not to mention, he has a wonderful architect who drew our plans beyond what we could have ever imagined for our backyard. The architect was very helpful in recommending specific plants that, as we requested,were low maintenance and also bright and colorful. They also poured concrete, installed lights, a sprinkler and irrigation system, and a moss rock wall. The result is stunning and beautiful and not something you can get from any other landscaper that we’ve seen in the area. Lavish Gardens really knows their stuff. For example, we had a sudden drainage issue on a slope due to the home builder, and Lavish Gardens was able to install a drainage system that immediately solved the problem. We are thrilled how our backyard turned out and would definitely recommend Lavish Gardensshow more

  Many years ago my husband and I hired Lavish Gardens to put up a small retaining wall and install some flagstones in our back yard. Since we were very happy with the work they did at that time, we called them back when we were ready to do some more extensive work. We needed a 35 year old, wooden deck replaced and we needed to re-design our back yard so that it uses less water. We have always found that the Lavish Gardens staff will listen and work with us. The staff at Lavish Gardens Landscape were all great: From the President/Owner of Lavish Gardens [Michael] to the site supervisor [Ivan ] to the office staff [Michelle] they were all responsive, courteous and personable. We were extremely happy with the final results of this project. The stonework was fabulous and it blended in with the existing hardscape we already had. This project also accomplished our goal of using less water in our backyard and requiring less maintenance.   Lavish Gardens did a fabulous job on my front and back landscapes. Erin, the designer, truly listened to what I wanted and designed a beautiful plan. In the front, she incorporated a dry steam creek, lava rock bed, two DG pathways, accent grass with striking plants and lighting. The back has flagstone stepping stones that lead to a DG landing area, matching flagstone patio area for a couch with fire pit all surrounding a kidney shaped center grass with accent lighting. Owner Michael Cole was wonderful to work with. He texted everyday to let me know what was happening that day. Ivan and his crew were incredible. They were courteous, professional, prompt and clean. Work was done on time and I couldn’t be happier with my yard. 5 stars!! Would highly recommenshow more

  We contacted Lavish Gardens due to their prior ratings on Angie's List. They met and exceeded all expectations. The owner, Michael Cole was prompt in responding to our request for bids. We solicited three companies for bids, 2 responded. Lavish Gardens was the most cost effective as well as most sensitive to our specific requests regarding our wish to balance budgetary limits with a quality outcome. He also provided us with the information and suggestions that helped us make final decisions. They were able to start immediately and worked almost every day from start to finish, with no delays, finishing ahead of time (within about 4 weeks). The foreman on the job was extremely attentive and communicated with us daily, either while on the job or by phone, asking questions regarding project options, checking for any concerns, asking for feedback on progress and outcomes all along the way. He was extremely personable and professional. The workers on the job worked hard, rested little, and stayed late in order to finish phases of the job. And they too were always professional , courteous, and ontime. The customer service from this company is hard to beat. The outcome was exactly what we asked for - because the communication was so consistent and attentive. And all of the work was of very high quality, performed with obvious know how and skill, and with unusal attention to detail and the wishes of the customershow more

  Mike and his crew were marvelous to work with. We needed a complete built out of our backyard. We were starting with rocks and dirt on a mostly flat backyard. Their professional team took us through each step of the process from design, to permitting, to build-out. The price was very reasonable (with the Angie?s list discount it ended up costing about 25% less than the other competitor we felt had the ability to do the full job). Mike examined the property, and talked to me about the project. He then provided us with an initial estimate. We then went into a brief design phase. Their designer, Ben, did a marvelous job taking our ideas and improving upon them. At that point they came up with a full project budget which we did not deviate from on the project. It was very nice to see a project cost come in exactly on target. Our backyard is now one of the nicest (if not the nicest) backyard in the neighborhood. Our next door neighbor was impressed enough that they have now contacted Lavish Gardens about doing their backyardshow more
