"Let's start with the bad. John did leave a few scratches on a couple of small areas. Since I'm a perfectionist this did not sit well with me, but, I accepted it since everything else was perfect and the scratches are not that noticeable. As soon as I met John I knew he was the one to reface my cabinets. He struck me as honest and straightforward. I did not check out prices. The price he quoted me sounded fair and I liked his demeanor, so I signed on the dotted line. I don't regret my decision at all. The kitchen is just Beautiful. He did a Splendid job and as others have mentioned he is super neat, careful, and conscientious. He is a hard worker in the best way possible. He is never in a hurry to get your job out of the way so he can start a new one. I have already recommended him to a few of my friends. Because of those scratches I mentioned before I am only giving John 5 stars and not 6 (if I could have)."

"Superb communications and service from Ohan and his excellent crew at Ashka for installation of my kitchen cabinets. My home is in the Eaton Fire evacuation zone and I've been dealing with countless issues and many contractors since January of 2025. By far, Ohan and his crew have been the most professional and done the best work. Aside from my kitchen issues, Ohan has also been helpful in giving me advice in other areas pertaining to my ongoing renovations. Highly recommended."

Pre Made Cabinets questions, answered by experts

The 1/3 rule is a design guideline used by interior designers and cabinet installers to select appropriately sized pulls for cabinets and drawers. The rule suggests that for a balanced and cohesive look, a cabinet pull should be approximately one-third the height of the cabinet door or one-third the width of the drawer face. This guideline helps create a symmetrical appearance because the human eye tends to follow the length of the pull across the cabinet face.

While the 1/3 rule is a helpful starting point, it is not the only option. If a measurement falls between available pull sizes, it's generally best to size up. For an ultra-contemporary aesthetic, you can also opt for full-width pulls that span the entire drawer.

Make sure your shelves are no more than 12 inches deep. Any deeper and it will become hard to access items towards the back of the shelf. Yet, for larger walk-in pantries, homeowners may prefer 15- to 18-inch shelving to make room for larger appliances and cookware.

For safety when installing a vanity, attaching the vanity to the wall is ideal to prevent it from moving. Typically, sinks must be 4 inches away from bathtubs. Also, most states require that you have 21 inches in front of a sink, but the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) recommends 30 inches for more comfort.

Yes, new bathroom cabinets made from a quality material can increase home value. Updated cabinets enhance the overall look and functionality of the bathroom, making it more appealing to potential buyers. Additionally, they create a sense of cleanliness, an essential factor for homebuyers. Investing in new cabinets is a cost-effective way to modernize your bathroom's aesthetics and usability, which is a win-win for your home's market value.

The cost to install a kitchen island can range from $900 to $6,500, with an average price of around $4,800 for most homeowners. The final cost depends on whether you choose a prefabricated or custom-built option. It is generally cheaper to buy a prefabricated island than to build one from scratch. A budget-friendly prefabricated cart can cost between $150 and $900, while a permanent prefabricated stationary island costs from $900 to $5,000. Custom-built kitchen islands average $4,800 but can cost $10,000 or more, depending on factors like materials, size, design complexity, and accessibility.
