"Sam at California Concrete is a great guy to work with. He was on time and did a great job keeping me updated on the work they were doing. Sam was really good at checking on important details about the project and listened really well to me. The project was completed in one day and turned out great. I would highly recommend Sam and California Concrete if you need some concrete poured and finished."

"We had Daniels company epoxy our garage, from the initial conversation Daniel was extremely helpful. His pricing is fair and very honest the job was done clean and on time. They made sure to clean up and explain the after care. You donâ t meet professional people now a days but I can say Daniel and his team were very professional. "Gabriel has been doing beautiful tile work in our homes for over 12 years. Recently he and his crew completely gutted our bathroom and transformed it with floor to ceiling tile. He takes care to make sure the walls and ceiling are square so that tile meets at 90 degree angles. He also advised on tile, grout and style. They installed the tub, toilet and sink to ensure that their placement coordinated with the tile. Before that he tiled the backsplash in our kitchen which made a huge difference and is the first thing everyone comments about. Going back even further when we lived in a 2 1/2 story condo where he re-tiled the entire condo (including renovating the downstairs bathroom) and created an intricate glass brick wall between the mezzanine and the living room as well as the backsplash in the kitchen. We highly recommend Gabriel. We trust him with our home. He always comes up with great ideas and creative solutions for the house. He's extremely conscientious from the time he shows up to the time he leaves. He always lays out cloths and walking paths in the house and cleans up every night. And truly, he has an artist’s eye and has turned our homes into places we can be proud of."

Epoxy Flooring questions, answered by experts

Proper surface prep and application techniques by pros minimize peeling, ensuring longevity.

You can whiten concrete for unsealed and unfinished concrete with a solution or either muriatic acid or bleach and water—but never both. However, if your concrete does have a stain, finish, or polish, keep in mind that these hard chemicals could damage the topcoat. Your best bet otherwise is to power wash outdoor concrete slabs or clean indoor ones with a gentle cleaner such as laundry or dish detergent.

Unlike paint, concrete stain won’t peel off. Instead, the color absorbs into the surface of this porous building material. While it doesn’t peel, the stain only penetrates the top layer of concrete, and as the top of the concrete eventually wears away, so will the stain. However, this process is much slower than paint peeling, especially on low-traffic surfaces.

Commonly used in garages, epoxy is a synthetic resin coating that goes over the top of concrete surfaces. If you’re deciding between polished concrete and epoxy flooring, the best choice depends on your needs and personal preference. Epoxy is durable and highly customizable, while polished concrete tends to require less maintenance. They’re both long-lasting with similar price points, and professional installation is recommended for each.

Yes, professionals offer slip-resistant options for added workplace safety.
