"Bodhi was fantastic. So pleasant and personable. Reinstalled my sliding screen door to perfection. Bodhi made sure my screen door slid open and closed smoothly! Stated if I had any problem with it to let him know. I will definitely contact him for other projects and have given his info to my daughter for her upcoming projects😊👏 A plus!!!"

"A friend recommended Edgar and his crew after I saw what a good job they did remodeling my friends two bathrooms. We only use Edgar now for all our home projects. He has remodeled two of our bathrooms, installed vinyl flooring, canned lights, ceiling fans, stair balusters, he's done plumbing for us, he's done fascia painting, he pretty much does it all. His work is top-notch. His pricing is very fair. He and crew are always on time finishing the project but also showing up in the morning. He's responsive the phone calls and texts. Highly highly recommended. I tell everyone to use Edgar and crew for any of their home repairs or upgrades."

"Jesus was always on time, worked hard to deliver what was requested, was consistently willing to change things up if the job required it- and he guarantees his work. He has a great â can doâ attitude and will work on a project until itâ s exactly what you want. I highly recommend Jesus for all remodeling needs."

"Dylan was amazing! He came to do a screen repair and ended up fixing our screen, the door lock, and our front door lock, all for the price of 1. And he is coming back to do more because of what a great job he did! So def recommend! Great prices! He even came fast too! Told us it would be a day but ended up coming the same day! Thanks Dylan :)"

Screen Repair questions, answered by experts

Pet-resistant, vinyl-coated polyester is one of the strongest window screen materials available, with some manufacturers touting a 7x increase in strength compared to standard fiberglass screens. Stainless steel security screens are also extremely strong, but they’re not suitable for coastal areas due to the risk of corrosion from salty sea air. If sea air isn’t a concern, stainless steel is extremely tough.

Among the various entry points into your residence, it's crucial to recognize that your basement windows are arguably the most susceptible. Basements usually have windows facing the side and back yards, often concealed from driveway floodlights, porch lighting, and doorbell cameras. Their vulnerability underscores the importance of reinforcing basement window security to safeguard your home from break-ins.

Some hardware or specialty window stores in your area may repair damaged screens, but it’s less time-consuming, more convenient, and potentially more affordable to hire a screen repair technician to come to your home to do the work on-site. The screen technician will have the tools and experience to get the work done the same day, and they can inspect other screens while there to help avoid repeat repair costs in the future.

The most affordable way to screen in a porch is to add a base track system to an existing wooden frame. The whole process should cost around $2,000 for supplies, depending on the size of your porch. It’s much pricier to build a screened-in porch or sunroom from scratch—and you’ll probably need to hire a contractor for a project like that.

You can add any type of window to a brick house, so long as the window has proper support. Windows with wider openings and windows in brick walls will need a lintel to support the extra weight above the window frame. A lintel is a support beam that distributes the weight from above evenly around the window.
