"I like how the work process was explained. Before the work began I was informed what was required for each step to install a complicated copper water lines for a shower which had two shower nozzles and a hand shower outlet. The water valve system had too be disassembled to prevent damage from heat when soldering copper pipes (4) to a large brass housing. All the work was completed in a confined space which left little room to fit all parts required. I liked how there was time for question and answer so that I understood to work process. In the past I had done home improvements but this project was beyond my skill set. I liked that before the work was completed a functional demonstration was given to prove the complicated valves worked without any problems. The work was accomplished so well that I plan to share this information with all my friends so they can call on a reliable person to get the job done."

I met with Rony and after a little back and forth on the project scope was able to schedule the work. Originally planned for 5 days, Rony's foreman and his team completed the work in 3 days (there had been a weather delay and they were as interested in getting the work done on time as I was)! Rony's foreman Juan knew his stuff, and truly went the extra mile, including performing some extra work which Rony covered under the original quote - greatly appreciated! Specifically, when Rony and I walked the job, we had agreed that rather than installing extra drainage, Rony would ensure the crew graded the slope down to the existing drain. Juan determined that was not the right way to do it, and installed a new drain in an ideal location. He also laid down some pavers which was outside the scope. It was just a few, to create a little accent where there would have been a dirt void between my side yard where a concrete walk was laid, and the sod that was installed in the back yard. Again, Juan did this, and even though it wasn't a lot of extra work, it was above and beyond the scope, but illustrates to me that the company and this crew is more interested in customer satisfaction and exemplary work than just the money. I will definitely call Rony the next time I need work done!"

"We recently bought a house in Sacramento. During the last rainy season we discovered that we had a drainage problem: pools of water formed next to the foundation and water was running underneath the house via the crawl space depression. Over the years, the grade on the north side of the house had developed a slope toward the house (probably due to adding soil for gardening) and the old flexible corrugated downspout drain pipes had clogged or collapsed and didn't run to the curb. Hays Engineering fixed all that. The company owner, Josh Hays, kept us informed about the project schedule and was on site. They contacted utilities to mark underground lines. They regraded the north side of the yard and installed a drainage system consisting of seven collection points using smooth 4 inch drainage pipe (that can be cleaned out if necessary). The Hays Engineering crew used a laser level to ensure that the slope of each drainage pipe was correct. The terminal ends of the drainage pipes were fitted with pop-up drainage emitters. In-ground irrigation pipes were rerouted where necessary. Digging the trenches for the system was done very carefully and they hand dug when approaching an underground line. Mr. Hays and his team were friendly, professional, and answered all of our questions. Not only did Hays Engineering do an outstanding job, the cost was very reasonable. We highly recommend Hays Engineering and would use them again without hesitation."
