"They have done an amazing job with cleaning our commercial oven hood exhaust systems! We've had several of our Domino's locations serviced by Capital Steam and I would highly recommend them. Kathryn has been great to work with and goes above and beyond to make sure everything is taken care of."

"The process went smoothly from start to finish. 247 Painting did an excellent job painting my house. Since I bought the house it had never been painted so I really needed a freshen up and they went above and beyond. Every line is so crisp and I’m so much more happier with my house now."

"On moving day, Craig and his two assistants were at my home when he said he would be.  He picked up the truck for me, taking care of all the details.  The men were very careful with our belongings, wrapping each piece of furniture with blankets and wrapping them with "green wrap tape".  They were able to get everything onto the truck, taking care driving through the mountains to our new home.  Unloading was a breeze, they got everything in place taking extra special care not to scratch my new wood flooring.   I give this company a "5" star rating, they were courteous and pleasant the whole entire time, always taking into consideration all my concerns.   If you have read any bad reports, they are not true.  I was referred to this company, and I'd refer them to anyone who is in need of moving. Thank you Five Star Moving."

Range Hoods questions, answered by experts

Smooth galvanized metal ducting is best and safest for venting a hood range. It’s best to avoid flexible and corrugated types of ducting, as these options don’t provide ample airflow and may not meet local code. For specific advice on which type of duct might be best for your kitchen, reach out to a range hood installation professional.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

No, range hoods do not necessarily have to be vented outside. Ductless or non-vented range hoods are available, which are common in condos or small kitchens where connecting to external ductwork isn't feasible. These hoods operate by taking in air, filtering it through charcoal filters to help eliminate smoke and odors, and then recirculating the cleaned air back into the kitchen. However, while these recirculating hoods are more versatile, venting to the outside is still the preferred and more effective method for completely removing smoke, odors, and gases from the room.

Ensures safe electrical connections and proper venting, improving kitchen air quality.

A range hood is an exhaust fan for your kitchen, and several types and styles exist. They are meant to remove grease, moisture, and fumes from your stove. Although some models filter and recirculate the air, the most effective ones remove the air through a duct that’s vented to the outdoors.
