"There are a lot of good concrete contactors in San Diego North County and Functional Concrete Artistry is right there with the best. James and crew did a bang up job successfully completing flat work for a patio project. James is easy to work with, experienced and knowledgeable providing progress updates and clarification along the way. Being offsite, I was able to trust James and he delivered a very nice product. Thank you James and take care. Larry and Marlene."

"We had a concrete walkway that had sunk and became a trip hazard. Removing and replacing the concrete would have been more costly and inconvenient than the lift Saber did and the work exceeded expectations. I'm thoroughly pleased and highly recommend Saber to others!"

"I was too anxious to get the work done and I took his first bid - which was like $32.00 per square foot of concrete. Very high. He did good work but I should have gotten other bids. I think he knew I was anxious to get the work done."

"Mariano, who is also MB Concrete, did an amazing job. They removed a mature queen palm, hauled away all material and debris after demo and poured a great slab to extend my patio by a few hundred square feet! This was a pro job! Dump and bobcat, concrete truck, you name it! Rebar was tied into the existing slab and it looks like it was part of the original pour! I’d hire them again!"

Concrete Cutting questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can cut up a box spring., but you’ll need to do so in layers. You can clear the fabric and fluff away to reveal the springs before removing them as well.

Cutting rectangular ductwork requires careful measurements and the right technique. Use a measuring tape and pencil to mark the cutting lines accurately. Tin snips are excellent for straight cuts on smaller ducts. For more extensive or thicker rectangular ducts, a reciprocating saw with a metal-cutting blade is effective.

Ensure the duct is well-supported and secure while cutting to prevent wobbling and maintain precision. After cutting, use a metal file to smooth any sharp edges, ensuring safety during installation.

Sawing your hot tub into more manageable chunks so it can be lifted easily into a truck takes several hours. Generally, 2.5 hours for smaller hot tubs and around 4 hours for larger ones with the help of one to two people. If money isn't a concern and you want to skip the physical labor, you can hire a pro to get the job done.

To maintain custom or fabricated metal structures and extend their lifespan and appearance, perform regular cleaning, apply rust prevention treatments, and use protective coatings.

Yes, you can cut plexiglass by hand using a sharp knife or blade (utility knife, box cutter, glass cutter, etc.).
