"We loved the outcome of the our newly painted entire outside of our home, decks and our fences by FM Painting aka Francisco Medina. He was outstanding and considered every question and was extremely considerate/knowledgeable and paid attention to every detail and request we had. We would definitely recommend him and will use him in the future for other painting and staining projects"

"Very professional painting service. Absolutely love the results and would strongly recommend this business for any painting needs! He painted my house and my in-law’s house and both of us were pleased. He paid close attention to detail and make sure we were completely satisfied when the job was complete. Thank you again!!"

"Wonderful service. Fast to reply to inquiry, excellent workmanship. Price quote among the lowest of multiple quotes I got. The guys were great to work with. I had dry rot and the repair work done was too notch. All bare wood was primed and painted with no mess and attention to quality. I also had the house power washed and now it's the best on the block. This 30 year old house looks brand new. I would highly recommend them and I'm going to have them back to do my interior!"

"I had use this co once before. They are absolutely the best. They cover every surface that is not suppose to be painted. Furniture that is left in the room is completely sealed. All light fixtures are covered. They have now painted my entire house although this time it was two large bathrooms and the master bedroom. The did an amazing job. You can barely tell where I had light boxes. It took one day to cover and mask everything and a day and a half to paint. The crew is quiet and respectful. R Belasco, the owner is such a gentlemen. He was so accommodating to what I wanted. I would not hesitate to hire him again."

Interior Painting questions, answered by experts

While a pressure washer is certainly powerful enough to remove old and peeling paint, this is not a great idea to do yourself. The pressure washer is so powerful that you could actually damage the walls as you strip away the paint. It’s best to leave paint stripping to the pros.

Some methods of removing paint from metal that use physical force, like scraping or grinding, may damage the metal. Other methods like chemical strippers or acids are unlikely to damage the metal underneath, but take care using any method to strip paint to minimize the chance of damage.

You can paint over cracked paint, but only if you properly sand down the damaged areas. Once the surface is as smooth as you can get it, clean the walls and let them dry before applying a new coat of paint. Painting over cracked paint without sanding or cleaning beforehand will not cover up the cracks and may even make them look worse.

If the lead paint is in a place that is not easily disturbed and is not flaking or deteriorating, you do not necessarily need to remove it. Lead is toxic when dust particles or flakes from peeling lead paint are ingested. If people are not in the area with the lead paint, it may be safe to leave it in place. You still may want to consider encapsulation with a paint formulated for covering lead-based paint, just for an added layer of protection.

You can apply stain over peeling stain, but it’s not a good idea. Your old stain will get in the way of your new stain bonding to the wood, so you’re likely going to see the same issue again shortly after application. Your best option is to sand off the old stain and clean the surface thoroughly before applying new stain.
