"Hector was a joy to work with. He ably guided in pick the best tile (we made him order multiple samples) and patiently humored our pickiness, even coming by several times to talk over the best options, before we’d even signed! Throughout the demo, install, and cleanup, he and his small crew was professional and considerate of our family. We even added some work mid-project, and he transparently let us know that would be extra hours, but I’m so glad we did. It looks fantastic."

"I am extremely satisfied with the TNR Flooring installation of our porcelain tile kitchen floor. Todd responded to my Home Advisor request within 24n hours, His bid was submitted the next day and was competitive and complete. As the project progressed, he was able to help us navigated the changes and improvements we were hoping for. His installers, Cesar and Brian, were professional and courteous. They did a great job with our project. Todd was present and accessible during the process. I highly recommend them. We hope to use them in the near future to refinish our hardwood floors."

"Carlos not only removed old carpet but repaired cracks in cement underflooring then did a beautiful job installing the new vinyl plank flooring. And went out of his way to pick up the new flooring and baseboards. Carlos goes out of his way to ensure the job is well done and his customers are happy from start to finish. We are really happy with our new floors and highly recommend Carlos."

"

Absolute Kitchen & Bath (Tile & Stone) was there for us every step of what turned out to be a much more complicated project than expected--due to water damage detected during the renovation.  To accommodate our emergent needs, Chris adjusted the schedule of his crew of professionals on several occasions.  I believe it is usually the other way around!

The end result is beautiful.  The tile "art" in the bathrooms look exactly like the magazine photo I showed Chris.  Actually--better.  Chris and team put in a fixture ordered from Europe (required special tools) which took them hours longer than expected to install (no extra charge).  As for the kitchen--gorgeous work.  We replaced old tile with Silestone--Chris made sure to bolster our cabinets so we could save the expense of replacing.  So patient with us--we must have changed our minds ten times on the material for the backsplash edging.  We basically have a new home--updated and beautiful.  Workmanship = A+.  Professionalism = A+.  Trustworthy =  felt completely comfortable leaving our home to Chris and team while we were not there (most of the time).

Highly Recommend!!!

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Figure out how much tile you need by measuring the backsplash area. Measure the height and length in feet and multiply to get the square footage. Don’t make adjustments for outlets or small cutouts but subtract the square footage for windows or other large obstructions from the total. To account for waste, get 10% more than your calculation.

On average, tiling a shower costs between $1,800 and $5,000, with most people paying around $2,700. The price of this project depends on multiple factors, including the kind of tile you choose, the size of your shower, and labor rates in your area. If you decide to tile your own shower (instead of hiring a professional), it’ll likely cost $800 to $1,400.

The easiest tile size to install is large tiles, and they’re easier to install than small tiles—the job is faster and simpler when there’s less placing, adhering, and grouting to do. However, when tiles get really big, they’re more difficult to handle, cut, and fit. Standard floor tile sizes are 12-by-12 inches, 18-by-18 inches, and 12-by-24 inches.

Ceramic tile can be slightly less expensive than porcelain pavers. You can find outdoor ceramic tile for as little as $1 per square foot, but high-end options tend to cost the same as porcelain.

The underlayment determines a ceramic tile’s sturdiness, and a cement board or backer board works best. Be sure to tape the joints when using these materials, and consider laying it on top of a layer of thin-set for more stability.
