"These guys are professional, friendly, and take pride in their work. They always ask if we have questions during the installation of the tile & the final outcome of the project is simply awesome. They are no major surprises & the plumber along with the shower door man all stated that Corner Stone took "It to another Level" We have been receiving Complements from everyone all week & we are so pleased that we will hire them for our 2nd & 3rd bathroom remodeling projects. I agreed for Corner Stone to give new clients my cellphone number if they have any questions. Thanks Hector. Glad we meet you & your crew. Humberto Castro Soledad, California"

"I wanted the tile laid a certain way, they wouldn't do it- claiming it would void the warranty (?). I challenged that, then they told me there were not enough tiles and it would take a week to get more. I showed them the pattern would work. They said to call my salesman, which I did and he was less than receiving who said he would have his supervisor call me- who never did. Because I had an out of town guest coming, I gave in. Tile looks good, but it wasn't what I wanted."

"Carlos not only removed old carpet but repaired cracks in cement underflooring then did a beautiful job installing the new vinyl plank flooring. And went out of his way to pick up the new flooring and baseboards. Carlos goes out of his way to ensure the job is well done and his customers are happy from start to finish. Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

To ensure an even and unbending surface to lay tiles on, you’ll typically need to put a subfloor under a tile floor. Fiber cement backboards are the most common choice, but using plywood is also possible. Don’t neglect this step, or you could risk water damage and grout or tiles prematurely cracking or crumbling, especially in an area with high foot traffic.

Yes, you can tile over existing tiles in a bathroom, but it is not always recommended. For this method to be successful, the original tile surface must be clean, flat, and free of damage such as cracks, unevenness, mold, or mildew. While tiling over existing tiles can save time and money, there are potential drawbacks. The new adhesive may not bond properly, and the process adds extra weight to the wall or floor. Additionally, the increased height of the surface could interfere with door clearances. For the best and most durable results, removing the old tiles before installing new ones is generally the better option.

Yes, tiling a bathroom is a great way to boost your home's value, especially if you are replacing old or dated flooring. Adding a new tile floor can deliver a return on investment (ROI) of around 56.4%, with some projects offering up to 100% ROI. Buyers appreciate new tile because it provides a modern look and is known for being durable, water-resistant, low-maintenance, and easy to clean. For the best results and highest return, consider hiring a professional, as tiling mistakes can be very noticeable and detract from the value.

When choosing between porcelain and ceramic tile, the best option depends on your specific needs, budget, and project application. Porcelain tile is generally more durable, denser, and harder than ceramic, making it a good choice for busy, high-traffic areas. It also offers superior moisture resistance, making it ideal for moisture-retaining spaces. However, porcelain is typically more expensive, and its hardness can make it brittle, potentially causing it to crack if a heavy object is dropped on it. In contrast, ceramic tile is a more budget-friendly option with lower material and installation costs. It is softer and easier to work with, making it a great choice for DIY projects. While not as durable as porcelain, ceramic is still a quality material suitable for many home applications, particularly small, decorative projects.

Yes, you can tile a shower as a DIY project, and you can save hundreds of dollars in labor costs by doing so. However, you’ll need to rent or buy quite a few tools and supplies for the job, including a saw, tile nippers, and a new shower pan. In terms of the work itself, you should be prepared to tackle a variety of different tasks, including measuring and ordering materials, removing old tile, waterproofing the wall, adding rows of tile, grouting, and more.
