- Straight Line ConstructionWe contacted Straightline Construction to replace our house’s skylight that had a large crack in it (previously plastic). Phil, the Project Manager, was extremely professional and measured our skylight for replacement. He provided us with multiple options, from a standard glass replacement to skylights with shades (manual or solar). We decided on the skylight with a solar shade. Straightline made the process extremely easy. We absolutely loved how it turned out, very high quality. The two person installation team did a great job and even installed the remote to open and close the shade in our kitchen. While installing the skylight they also sealed exposed nails and painted and resealed flashings. I highly recommend Straightline for your roofing needs. (I forgot to take before pictures of the inside of the old skylight. You could hardly see out of it and there was a large crack. Now we see clearly out of it.

- Cal-Vintage Roofing Co IncI contacted Cal-Vintage roofing back in late April to make an appointment for an estimate for a tube skylight for our condo. Robin came out and gave us a straight forward estimate. He was ready to work with us and our HOA because we had to submit an architectural change request and we suspected we might miss the May meeting, which we did. After getting approval, I called to schedule the installation. It took a couple of days to connect back with Robin, mostly because of our odd work schedule. We were given a time frame of 8-10 am for the installation, and the two workers arrived at 9 a.m. They covered the floor to protect it, and had the job done by noon. They cleaned up the installation debris. They were willing to take a check for payment then or I could wait for a bill. Although I sent a payment with the installers, I like this option. We are very happy with the skylight, and if we choose to add another one, we will definitely call them back to do the work
- Cal-Vintage Roofing Co IncOne person was assigned to the project. He was prompt and careful, although some existing tiles were broken and fortunately spares were available. New tiles are not available so we lucked out. A roofer breaking tiles ( the estimator broke 3 tiles just looking at the problem) doesn't seem very professional especially if there may not have been any similar tiles available. Actual total time to repair was about 9 hrs. spread over two days. No special material were needed save for a 10 foot section of flashing. Therefore, I feel the cost was somewhat high for the actual work time and materials involved. No way of knowing if the leak was fixed until it rains. Seems roofer could have sprayed water on the area to check for leaks. The actual work was well done and professional handled

- Cal-Vintage Roofing Co IncWe contracted with Cal Vintage to fix a leak in our concrete tile roof and to procure extra roof tiles for future replacements as needed. (The original roof and 12 skylights had been installed by another contractor 12 years prior.) Cal Vintage determined that the flashing around our skylight was incorrect, and replaced it and repaired the sheathing below. We decided to have all 12 skylights reflashed because of their potential for leak, and they finished the job in less than a week. The extra tiles took a few weeks to arrive from the manufacturer, and Cal Vintage did not ask for payment until after the extras had arrived and were delivered and a few installed. They stacked the rest in our yard. The estimator and workmen were very professional and efficient and hard-working. The company was a pleasure to do business with

"Jeff and his team knew what they were doing. They repaired a very problematic leak and replaced broken tiles on the roof of our 2-story house. They also proposed a unique solution to cap off some decorative external wood beams on the front of the house that were collecting water and exhibiting signs of wood rot (something we didn't even realize was happening). The ceramic tiles on our house were hard to locate, but he was able to find the correct ones, and we have some spare ones left over. It's been 6 years since the repair and we've had no issues.

"The entire process was smooth. I loved Eric the sales rep. He went over everything in detail and even gave me a senior discount without me asking. Martin the job foreman was informative and kept me up to date with everything that was going on. I had a sky tunnel installed in the “dungeon “ room and it is now my office.
