"I highly recommend French Estate Junk Removal Services! From start to finish, their professionalism truly stood out. The team arrived on time, communicated clearly, and handled everything with efficiency and care. They were extremely courteous and respectful throughout the entire process. What impressed me most was their willingness to work with my schedule and specific needs. They took the time to listen, offered flexible options, and made sure I was completely satisfied before leaving. On top of the excellent service, their pricing was better than any other competitor I contacted. No hidden fees, no surprises—just honest, fair pricing for outstanding work. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional, and affordable junk removal service, French Estate Junk Removal Services is the company to call. I’ll definitely be using them again!"

I own and operate a dumpster rental service that currently provides 17 Yard Dumpsters, and will soon provide 40 Yard Dumpsters and 10 Yard Dumpsters (lowboys) by the end of 2025. I also offer junk removal for property clean outs if you'd like us to handle the labor. Tree removal is another included service we offer.\n\nThis business was created in order to help a non-profit organization (Water Drop LA). "OMG, I just wish I had known about these guys in moving out of one condo and moving into another. They were by far and away so much better than the service from the other two moving companies. If I could give 10 Stars, I would. The arrived on time, assessed the move thoroughly, planned their course of action and were ultra efficient. In other words, they honor their namesake, “Heroic Movers!” They were so polite and professional and truly ROCKED and I totally recommend them. For a guy always striving to do things myself to save a buck, these guys were absolutely worth it. I just wish I had known about them sooner!"

Customers say: True professional

"Leo was very helpful and quick to respond. We’re happy with how our 2 bathrooms turned out. Project was completed within the time promised. Our only complaint is that the workers did not clean up very well. But overall, we’re satisfied and we’ll use them again."

Garbage Collection questions, answered by experts

The main issue with garbage disposals is clogging. This can mean a clogging of the pipes that expel the food along with water, or a clogging of the mechanical parts themselves. The problem lies in the solution because you can’t easily see clogs if they’re inside the system, and reaching in to dislodge stuck items is a risky proposal. Call a pro and ask what they would do, but if you can’t see the clog easily, and running the unit won’t free it, you need to let a professional handle the fix.

There are many maintenance and repair issues that lead to a malfunctioning garbage disposal. Regular clogs place wear and tear on the motors, leading to an eventual shutdown. Electrical issues at the breaker, wall outlet, or disposal itself can fry the unit. The most common cause is simply a worn-down motor. These motors can only handle so much use before powering down for good.

While the drain connection for a garbage disposal is nearly universal and fits standard sink drain holes of 3 1/2 to 4 inches, the size of the disposal unit itself is not. You must have enough space in the cabinet underneath your sink to accommodate the disposal's housing. A larger model may not fit in a compact cabinet or if the existing plumbing is arranged in an unusual way. Before buying a new garbage disposal, measure the available space under your sink. If you are replacing an old unit, it's often easiest to choose a new model of a similar size.

These appliances do unscrew, but you need to disconnect everything properly when you replace your garbage disposal. Make sure you shut the power off to the area first and check that it’s off with a voltage detector. Disconnect the main drain line and P-trap, and then disconnect the dishwasher drain line if you have one connected. You can then unscrew your garbage disposal using a disposal wrench. Just make sure you disconnect the electrical lines before removing your appliance.

Replacing a garbage disposal costs anywhere from $150 to $950, but the average cost is somewhere around $550. There are two types of garbage disposal units, and continuous feed disposals tend to cost more than batch feed disposals. Going for an aluminum garbage disposal is also significantly cheaper than choosing a stainless steel garbage disposal. You'll also need to factor in the horsepower of the motor, labor, and the removal and disposal of your old unit.
