"We had a sudden spike in water usage two weekends ago. It was clearly from the water pipe attached to the sprinkler system manifold. I attempted to repair it myself, but the fix didn't take. I called Armstrong based on their reviews on this site. We set up an appointment for the morning (8-12) on the 26th; there was no rush for the fix as we wouldn't need to use the sprinklers for a while and shutting off the water to the sprinkler system stopped the flow. I received a text message on the 25th confirming my appointment for 8am-12pm on the 26th. At 11:55 on the 26th, I called for a status check on the technician. They had me on their schedule for the afternoon. It was confirmed that the text message I was sent confirmed the earlier time frame. They had no explanation for the error. Still not a major issue, but now my entire day was shot. The technician arrived within the time frame. He assessed the issue. It required a simply re-cementing of the fittings, but he wasn't sure it would work (outside temperatures, the PVC pipe itself, etc). He also didn't have the zip ties he wanted that would help secure the pipes while the cement was curing; I didn't have any, either, but I did come with an alternative that he found acceptable. He completed the work, and basically said that we'll have to see if it worked. The good news is that we have some time before I have to turn the water on again which will give the cement time to set. He did offer a quote for replacement of the entire sprinkler manifold as a permanent solution. Although I recognize there are variables in repairs and that it may truly need additional work, I was underwhelmed by the service received."

"Carvajal Concrete (Valarie and her husband Daniel) have restored our backyard! we recently purchased a home that had everything we were looking for, and was newly renovated. However, the backyard had some debris left over from the remodel and needed major work to properly grade, level the property, and install concrete walkways, driveway, and patio. We called and interviewed a number of contractors for the project, including a contractor we've used for 5 projects over the past year. Ultimately, went with Carvajal concrete because of his knowledge, professionalism, and the fact he does the work himself (rather than hiring subcontractors). Daniel won the contract on a Thursday, and by Friday had us on the schedule and began work Saturday. I'd like to note this is far beyond expectations, we've had other contractors keeping us waiting for up to 6 weeks before starting a job, Daniel's concrete on the other hand started our job with in a day! On Saturday morning Daniel and his team arrived on time and ready to begin, however, I hadn't finished my homework and had the backyard free of clutter. This was no problem for Daniel and his team, they worked with me to move everything out of the way. Once they did begin the work, they did a perfect job! Every inch of the backyard from the foundation to the fence was perfectly graded, he removed the junk left by other contractors and with precision leveled the terrain. Above all the exceptional quality of his work, his team also took care to carefully remove some young trees for the grading work, then replaced them in the exact same position. The only difference with the newly planted trees from my original planting, is they were properly planted the second time around by Daniel's team. The Concrete work was exceptional including the extra touch of including a 4 foot diamond pattern in the backyard patio. Each and every aspect of the job was beyond expectations."
