I run a general contracting company which specializes in residential and light commercial work. This requires me to subcontract some parts of a large job out. All subcontractors are highly skilled at their trades.A good portion of a job is completed myself. I also have an electrical license where all of the work is completed myself. I pride my company and reputation as always being punctual and deliver the highest quality work. Small 1-2 day jobs are done on a time and materials basis. For larger jobs, the client is given a proposal/contract for review and signed acceptance before any work begins. I have never had a complaint from a client and have many repeat customers. Vinyl siding lasts between 20 and 40 years, on average, but the timeline depends on the quality of the product you install, whether or not your siding professional installs the siding properly with room for expansion, the climate in your area, and more. Composite siding is very resistant to warping that can affect some other sidings. Because of its composition, this siding doesn’t have the same risks of moisture damage that can cause rotting, buckling, and warping. Composite material doesn’t warp in high temperatures the way some kinds of vinyl siding can.

That said, composite siding is not entirely immune from moisture damage. It should still be properly installed so that moisture can properly drain from behind the siding, and protected by eaves and clean gutter so the siding doesn’t get repeatedly soaked by rain, which could lead to damage.

Fiber cement siding will last an average of 50 years, but you could get up to 70 years of useful life out of yours with proper maintenance. All types of siding, including fiber cement, will have shorter lifespans in extreme climates, as salt, impact from blown debris, heavy rain, and intense sunshine can all limit siding lifespan.

In some cases, stucco siding will increase your home value. Stucco is an attractive siding option, meaning it maximizes your curb appeal. This exterior feature also comes with added benefits, such as being relatively easy and affordable to repair, making your home more energy-efficient, and making the exterior of your home fire-resistant.
