"Came on time and work was done as requested. The clean-out was done as a preventative measure so we wouldn't have a clog or back-up over the holidays. Would have liked a little more detail on what they were seeing in the drain. I was getting information only when I asked. I'm not a plumber, I don't see issues every day, so I'm hoping I asked the right questions. the crew was responsive and quick and so far so good."

"I would hire this company in a heart beat. I got a very prompt response and Jeffery showed up within 1 hour. He preformed the task professionally , and the quality of his work was superior. The clean up was excellent. My only complaint was there is a 3 % charge for using a credit card. I wish I had known that up front, I would have had time to keep my cost at the quoted price. Iâ m very happy and would recommend him to anyone."

Drain Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Costs vary by severity and access requirements. Typical pricing ranges from $100 to $350, increasing with complexity or for emergency services.

An active cleaning agent and a drain snake is the best way to clean a main sewer line. You can purchase a regular or enzyme drain cleaner or make a DIY drain cleaner with baking soda. Use your chosen solution at least once a month or as needed to keep your sewer line clear.

In the majority of cases, homeowners insurance will not cover a main sewer line root clog. The reason is that most insurance companies consider tree root damage to sewer lines as common wear and tear, which is also preventable. However, you may be able to buy optional add-on coverage, such as "service line coverage" or "sewer line endorsements," that would protect against root damage to your sewer line.

Anything you drop down your sink runs the risk of damaging and clogging your pipes. Hair, bits of food, and other debris can catch on the item and build up over time, causing a clog. Even if it’s not valuable, it’s definitely worth trying to retrieve the item, or at the very least, asking a pro for specific advice.

There are several common signs that your main sewer line may be clogged. Key indicators include multiple fixtures in your home draining slowly, gurgling sounds coming from drains or toilets, and water backing up into showers, sinks, or toilets. You might also notice water backing up from the plumbing system's drain cleanout, water in your basement drain, or unexplained wet patches on your lawn. Foul odors, such as the smell of raw sewage or rotten eggs, are another common symptom. The most reliable way to confirm a main sewer line clog is to hire a professional plumber to perform a camera inspection.
