"He was available by phone, and was flexible in scheduling meetings which is great. He was professional, and seemed quite knowledgable. In the end, I didn't use Nato's services because his quote was twice as much as the other contractor I was considering. Perhaps his prices may be more competitive in other services he offers. Either way, working with this company was a pleasant experience."

"Very happy with the service provided. Was done at a good price and he showed up when he said he would and did quick work of it. It’s so difficult to get ride of thing in the valley and Elite makes it easy. I used them a second time to dig up the backyard and remove all the dirt. I will be calling them again next time I have items to get rid of. Thanks Elite Hauling."

"During a house purchase US Trenchless came out and scoped the main sewer line.  They gave me a detailed report.  They also gave me a quote to replace the line.  After doing some comparison shopping US Trenchless beat a competitors low bid by 10%.  The work was done on time and professionally.  I would recommend them and use them again.  Ross and Tim were great."

"Alfredo contacted me very quickly and I explained our issue. He agreed to come by the same day. He assessed the problem and gave me a detailed explanation of the issue and how to fix it. This included advising me that the repair could be problematic since the pipe was galvanized steel. I appreciated his approach to keep the repair simple and to address any issues as they came up. His estimate was very reasonable and the repair was successful. There was a small leak that started on a separate section which Alfredo came back and fixed as part of the original bid price. He was efficient and responded to all of my questions. That was very much appreciated!"

Land Clearing Services questions, answered by experts

A land survey includes the layout of a single property, including precise measurements and to-scale drawings of boundary lines, land improvements, and sometimes other features, like topography and drainage information. A plat map includes the layouts and boundary lines of several adjacent plots and basic structure measurements. Surveys are normally more valuable for homeowners and buyers, and plat maps are for governmental use.

The small lines on the tape measure either indicate inches, fractions of an inch, or centimeters and millimeters. On the imperial unit side (aka the inches side), the longest lines indicate inches, followed by the next shortest lines that indicate a half-inch, and then the quarter, eighth, and sixteenth-inch. On the metric side, the lines break down meters, centimeters, and millimeters.

Yes, new home construction will always require building permits, no matter where you live. In most cases, you’ll need a general construction permit, along with plumbing and electrical permits for the utility lines in your home. Depending on where you live, you’ll likely find that you also need permits for things like connection to a sewage system or installing exterior components, like decks, driveways, patios, and curb cutouts. Leave navigating the permits required for new home construction to a professional to ensure your home is built legally and safely.

There are a couple of ways you can determine the depth of your well. One method is to use a device called a well sounder. This tool has a long measuring tape containing a sensor to alert you once the end reaches the water.

Or you can DIY it by using a long tape measure with a half-filled bottle of water attached to it. Lower the tape measure into your well. Once you feel tension on the tape, you’ll know the bottle has reached your static water level. This will give you an approximate idea of your well’s depth.

You can’t build on undeveloped land without preparing it for construction, which involves running utilities to the site or accounting for private utilities like wells and septic systems and grading and compacting the soil for safe construction. Once you prepare the land, you can build on it as long as the project abides by local zoning regulations.
